Without raising an old thread from the dead, i figured i would try get some new ideas.
I remember a few people who said kit it around the 800 plate, the only problem im having is that i cant fit a rack of electrons + mwd + rep + 800 plate even with a grid rig
i could* get AWU lvl 5 but its a fairly long train i could use for other stuff so, any ideas?

Edited by: Engelsmutter on 27/07/2007 10:22:26 first of, tbh, why start a new thread with the context of an old one, which is even unreferenced?
Anyway, I tried this once, as it has a tracking-bonus:
His: 125mm Rails, try 150mm when you put in fitting-modules Meds: MWD, 2 x sensor booster, 1 x tracking computer Lows: 3 x Magnetics, nanos/inertia Rigs: make it fit and CCCs Drones: 10 x Warriors for anti-frig
It's fun. Not funny enuff, Railguns suck :P - but still. In the end, we bought that ship because it looks awesome, did we?

Ok it was the horror at first.
Basically the tracking bonus on the Vigilant is for medium hybrids. MWD bonus suggests blasters strongly. And the ship is too expensive to not fit a tank to it.
I dont know any decent fits for this ship, something in the lines of Ion Blaster IIs, with a single repped tank and a small cap booster, with nano pump rigs.

Yeah, at first I fitted it with ios, mwd, repper, etc. It's damn short on powergrid then. Also note that it's a paperbag, a ganky rupture can outdamage it easily. So comparing costs vs. benefits (ship costs arround 100mio), I can just say: deimos. :)
And the deimos actually does the role of 'oh its in range zomgwtfbbq-gank him' well better, double damage bonus, easier (not easy, but easier ;P) to fit, t2 resistances,...

Maybe that has something to do with the fact that you're putting small rails on it???? ------------------

No it can't. Infact a ganky ruppy has worse dps and on top of that it's even more a paperbag...

Thats 1 ******* crap setup.
I prefer the 1600mm + slave .
(ok from the head, might forget some things)
5* Electron 2 (Fed Navy AM charge)
1* 10mn mwd 2 1* Warp disrupter 2 1* Fleeting web or Darkblood 1* Small electrochemical capinjector/Balmer tracking dis/Sensorbooster/ECM burst/whatever...
1* Small armor rep 2 1* Damage control 2 1* Energized adaptive membrane 2 1* Magnetic field stab 2 1* 1600mm Reinforced rolled thungsten
5* Hammerhead 2
1* PG rig (Pretty sure you only need one) 2* Rigslot for whatever you want...
Around 10 K armor with LG slave, capinjector makes sure you arent such a easy nosvictim. Electron have like 1.9 sec rof and can wreck for 350+. I prefer a Fleet stabber over this ship though.
Btw if you really want gank on vigilant, try shieldextending it with 2* large shieldextender 2 + biggest blasters you can fit and damagemods. _________________________________________________ Breetime

edit: All of the setups above are just plain *crap* dont use em. Just because its expensive doesnt mean it should be gathering dust, use it in PVP ffs.
don't you need a t2 pg rig for that?
also theres some more setups here: http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=471177 ---------------

There is the gank fit:
High's 5x 'Hustler' Neutron Cannons. Cosmos guns with T2 stats and T1 fitting reqs. I can't say more about these beauties. You hit like a train and fit like T2 electrons. With faction ammo they tear things apart.
Mid's T2 MWD T2 Disruptor Fleeting Web Cap Injector with 800's
Low's 2 x Magstab II Whatever plate fits as per skills EANM II Faction SAR (amatar is nice and fairly cheap)
Rigs PG rigs and trimark armor pumps, balance according to fitting skill limitations.
Drones I like 5 warriors + a webber, but 5 hammerheads does your DPS good too. The webber drone helps close on those faction webs or make sure speedier targets can't keep you at 10 km.
LG slaves for survivability.
And the Vigabond:
High's 5 x Dual 150 II's with faction ammo.
Mid's T2 MWD Warp Disruptor II T2 Tracking Computer Cap injector with 800's
Low's OD Injector II Magstab II MAR II 2 x EANM II
Rigs 2 x Mass reduction 1 x Speed
Drones
Hammerhead II's, or 5 warriors + web drone
With a snake set this thing pushes 5 km/second, tanks better than almost any vagabond, and has an optimal of around 28 km with DG iridium that puts you at 250 DPS with drones. Not amazing DPS, but enough to get most jobs done, and the solo ability is right up there with any vaga. Add some faction equipment when you are comfy with the play style and this thing is beastial. Remember you don't have a NOS though, the vaga has that little ace to itself .

yea, this is basically my setup but without the ion II and the MFS, instead replaced by an electron and EANMII.
might have to use this duel pg rig setup until i get AWU 5 but still think ill take the damage control over the MFS tho saved my ass so many times. and the amount of times this is gonna get primaried, the tank seems nice.
Ty for your help.
You have a lg slave set? by the looks of that pic im guessing so
