There have been a few problems of the technical aspect getting the latest show to you. Many of the PCs at EVE TV towers had a case of tha nasties, and when we finally had a show ready to go last night, a small rendering detail with the audio meant we had to redo it. That's now done, and the show is on its way to the servers for the to do their magic. Should be with you in the next few hours.
AS FOR WHAT'S ON IT.
+ Delicious host spiralJunkie talks too fast, but with great wisdom.
+ It's BoB week - we have Farjung back (with straightened hair, no less!), we have footage from the BoBBQ, and we bring you interviews with many important BoBBits
+ Ladytown - We've got exclusives with the WGoE, as well as a special girls-only studio section where they didn't answer the eternal question of why they tend to go to the toilet in pairs
And more, exciting stuffs. _

You have got to be kidding me, you do realise there are more people playing this game than just BOB. This show might as well be renamed BOB tv. I don't mind a bit of news about bob in the show because they are in the spotlight at the moment but please ease up on the bob chat, i'm sure there is lots of stuff happening elsewhere in eve.

BoB IS a large part of Eve. I see no reason why EVETV shouldn't cover something that happens, since something DOES tend to happen with BoB every week and it's usually something big.
As far as referring to BoB, I don't think there has been one referral to BoB yet (besides a poke or something regarding Farjung or the BBQ) without RSF or Goonswarm alongside it. So please stop having selective memories and quiet down.

Thr tables are open; if you have something cool going on, whether its ingame or out, contact EVETV and if they can make it, they will.
The only reason it's BOB week is because we were at the BOB BBQ.

It's BoB week every week.
Your "specialists" are always BoB, ex-BoB or BoB pets.
Why not just go all the way and call it BoB TV?

Bob are a large part of the community, held a community bbq which everyone was invited to and are generally newsworthy, so long as EveTV seeks out and shows news and stories from other areas as well, grow up and stop your bloody whining about bob.
That said... Spiral the shows what 4 hours late now? Any chance of an ETA pls.

I'll concede that due to their publicity stunt called a BBQ, they probably do warrant some coverage, afterall, other meets have been covered in the previous episodes. However, what makes BoB more an expert at PvP than some unknown Merc? What makes them more an expert at 0.0 politics than some unknown Alliance living in 0.0? Each and every time you log on to COAD, you get the major Alliance politics rammed down your throat in one biased manner or another.
How about just for once, taking an impartial stance on this and having no one associated with great war give their insite and opinions on 0.0 politics? How about just for once you have a non-BoB member/ex-BoB member/BoB Pet who actually know their stuff on PvP to give their "expert" opinions on matters.
You have Fajung in EON; you have Ifni in every tourney so let's have someone from say Maza Nostra or Celestial Apocalpyse or Triumverate or other PvP entities and take the politics and by association, the bias out of it?

Edited by: EscapeArtist on 28/07/2007 14:43:51 Good thing I am not obsessive, or I would be losing my mind at the moment...
Since EvE TV started every Saturday morning I awaken and watch the latest episode. To be honest I knew something was wrong when it wasn't up when I went to sleep. I am in GMT+5 so its normally there before I hit the sack.
Anyway, technical glitches are something the EvE community is used to. That's only a slight dig at CCP...
It was bound to happen since EvE TV is produced on such a tight deadline, I am sure we can all forgive them. However I would suggest if you are having technical problems, you build a new server that is stand alone (i.e. no network connection) so Spiral can't download any viruses while looking at ****!

I am no expert on why people get chosen to present or be an expert, not working for EveTV myself. However I know during the tournaments theres a great selection of experts. And perhaps it takes someone with no bias to put themselves forward for the show if they want to be considered. Why don't you :)
Just seems to me that not mentioning bob would be as much a bias as mentioning bob is, and so long as eveTV doesn't hide where people come from there is nothing stopping you as a viewer putting what is said though a BSfilter.
Plus I do believe knowledgable people with experence who don't have a bias are hard to find, my alliance has been hired by both sides of the conflict thus far (wouldn't have it any other way) but I still have my views and opinions of the great war.
Personally i'm just kinda sick of the bandwagon of people complaining whenever bob are mentioned, when covering events makes it kinda hard not to mention bob. And i'm certanly no bob fanboy, no offence meant with my inital post.
And thank you Spiral :)

sadly this is a lot of bandwagoneering. We have farjung on because he's knowledgeable, good to look at, confident, able on camera, and very very good. Why don't we have anyone else? No-one else has put themselves forward. Please, do. _

It's not a question of not mentioning BoB. It's a question of balance. BoB member writes in EON. BoB members are "experts" on the Tourneys. BoB members are "experts" in Eve TV. Sames goes for ex-members and pets. I'm not saying let's not mention BoB. I'm saying let's decree BoB are Eve's foremost experts on everything in Eve thus they warrant representation in all Eve related media, just because they're a major part of this game.

right , if other people stand up and prove they are expert they will get spot light. Or does RL belong to bob as well you **** tin foil hat people.
I for don't mind if more player form a 4 year old corp seem to be experts. are the devs cheating and making them smart? this isn't part of game anymore, a dev can't spawn the ability to successful review ships and tactics. what about one of the biggest srouces in the games pulish wise. winterblink. H's not a bob member.
this is silly, if there is a bob event in RL the week might just have BoB in it. :P ----------------------------------- I'm working my way through college target CCP |

Can anyone else confirm that there are severe audio problems at the BoB BBQ bit? Music is way too loud, and the talking is way too quiet; mixed together they are not good.

Personally, I don't give a flying frack what alliance or corporation someone's in, as long as they know what they're talking about. If that's a BoB pilot, cool. Goonswarm, cool. Hell it could be a brand new player who just really knows their stuff, I really don't care.

What the hell is up with the sound. All the segments that are not in the studio, you can't hear crap. I have the sound on the player maxed out, the volume on the computer all the way up and my speakers humming from being turned all the way up and I still can't hear anything.
