I noticed this: Once you have a Tech1 Crystal in an energy weapon, it lasts forever. Every other crystal (Tech2, Faction, Mining Crystals) have a volatility...
Now, from my understanding, the Tech2 items (and later Tech3 items) are supposed to last longer and withstand heat better... So, they need a volatility. And since you can find them in abundance in every mission, the supply will still be there. Maybe finally you don't sell them for the minerals you get when you recycle them anymore...

Amarr use thier capacitor as ammo. If you want us to have to reload, then let us vary our damage types
this issue has been rashed many many times on the forums already - do a search and youll find LOTS of threads on this to go through all the arguments.

This guy is the epic win. Your hybrids can have unlimited ammo when they're fixed to EM and Thermic damage :P

yes this is correct. lasers turn energy to a focused beam of light which in turn causes em and thermal damage. amar are not using any tyoe of matter in there weapons systems. if that were so then they would have kinetic damage.

we have the largest ammo in game, its called cap booster 800s.
I can carry 16 charges in my abaddon and 4 in the booster. ------------- Hadean Drive Yards

With not so nice skills for battleship, to run 7 mega pulses(with Xray, not multifreq may I note) and ONLY the megapulses I need either: cap recharge modules OR cap booster. Second one is more popular as more resistant to NOS attacks as well, so in turn, we do have the largest ammo: cap booster 800. Without any cap mod, it will cap out ONLY by running the pulses. And cap out time is not like you could fire 1000 shots :)

Every Amarr pilot would be more than delighted in t1 Crystals becoming volitile. But more importantly......
Just fix the guns, so that a Tach no longer does a Heavy Nos II level of drain on my ship! --

actually a high consentration of light, would course an dmg becouse of heat, and at the same time (giving that in some mystic way they have made a shield out of clear energi) it would actually overload the shield system, dissabling it in a instant becouse of the electric circums that would burn down (much like setting an exstra 50volt to a lamp would make it pop). this would actually mean that when you got hit by a laser some of your shield would instantly dissapear, which is shown the best way with EM (since that IS the same effect em pulsing has)...
the only problem is that the EM in reality would take down any system that is used on the ship, so in reality the heat from the lasers would not be the main concern, but the fact that in a few hits your whole system would just be a useless sitting dock, and slowly it would be destroyid by the heat that would slowly melt the ships armour and***** anything living on the inside of the ship :P ...
would like to see that realistic effect of lasers (although as a negative effect it would drain your cap as fast as the mwd does right now, since making a laser strong enough to actually do any real heat dmg, takes a hell load of energi, so capacitor booster would be a most just to remain your firering:P)

This is pretty much the reason. You need to reload eveyr couple of minutes while shooting continously. Amarr will cap out after sustained shooting, so they need to just stop shooting and let the cap recahrge a bit.

you do know amarr battle ships have like two earth sized fusion plants on-board?

The Amarr advantage of endless ammo is rather void with the increased ammo clips of the AC and Artillery cannons. Any fight is over before you have to reload the clip. Same goes with blasters. I'm dead before any blaster boat has to reload.
So, let us keep this small PvE advantage please.
