At Apothecary Industries, We are dedicated to the research on the Vitox toxin used in conjunction with the Vitoc in order to create a permanent antidote so those now forced to use Vitoc no longer need to.
Originally started as an unofficial group of individuals I my self being a new member of this group have been sponsored and supplied with equipment and research data of immeasurable value from an individual who has wished to remain silent and so shall be referred to as Mr-X.
How ever we wish to thank him for supplying the Isk and data that he has and continues to this day to provide.
Amongst some of the data we received the information on the True Sansha Cloneæs research has been the most invaluable of all, from it we have with some blood and D.N.A samples of our primary investor and backer been able to create two proto types though sadly the first one æVitoc XJ1Æ only has double the effect time than normal Vitoc.
The second removes the Toxin but also causes neurological damage and kidney falier followed by the heart increasing its beats to such a degree it causes it to rupture violently.
We will continue to work and perform research for the permanent cure to this most vile of creations my people have and some even today still use. We have been joined thanks to Mr-X by a Professor Goodchild an ex-Blood Raider Scientist who in his attempts to atone for his heathenish and sinful ways has seen the light and once more seek to embrace the golden light of god once more.

Good luck to you in this endeavor. It's a long time coming, but certainly important. So many, both slaves and former slaves are still bound by the need for this drug. Which is a sad state indeed.

While this is interesting news, I'm concerned about the ulterior motives of this mysterious benefactor. No one does anything for good works alone and the potential profits a permanent antidote would yield make me uncomfortably suspicious.
I realize you are in early stages of research, and nothing fruitful may ever come of this, but after development you have no further control over where this new Vitoc ends up, do you? Perhaps used on former slaves who have been taken into the fold, denying its use outside Amarr proper? Maybe a Caldari Mega-Corp looking to forward a little pharmaceutical profiteering by limiting distribution?
All in all, if it sounds to good to be true it most likely is.

And if we're lucky, it'll do all of the above.

I can assure you all our research and findings will not be used other than to the benefit of all people in our vast universe.
And even if Mr-X should be planning of such a thing we will not allow it, we'd rather destroy our findings rather than allow them to be used in such away. Sano Quod Servo |

I apologize in advance as my thoughts on the topic at hand do move on the borderlines of it.
I can understand to a degree of people being worried of the Vitoc's burden on a individual. Afterall at the current moment the treatments to just keep one alive is not exactly cheap. A reason slave population or stock isnt really broadly treated with vitoc.
This raises the second issue, how do you expect the slaves or poor minimatar population really to be able to afford the cure. I try to be more forward, research is costly. I could iamgien so would be manufacturing some highly unique treatments that so far have just baffled the scientifical community in our galaxy. Lets be honest if there was simple or cheap cure... it would been found.
Thus, unless the research manages to be completely against common sense and being reasonably cheap. How on earth its going to change anything as people cannot afford the cure.
Or is this whole project just an attempt to gain funding from the desperate, weak or just foolish to feed such research to fulfill the project managements projected profit marginals?
I do not even touch the topic of such an cure being approved by the Empires or it even being moderately safe to apply. So far it sounds you are doing rather brutal medical research with hopefully willing subjects.

We here at Apothecary Industries are fully a where of the ramifications and how our goal will not be achieved over night. Nor are we sponsored by the most sacred empire of amarr.
Nor are we in the habit of using or forcing slaves to be rodents in an experimental treatment, all have been approached and in republic space and offered the chance to aid in a unilateral attempt to find a permanent cure for those who have been forced to endure vitox by regular doses of vitoc.

Pardon my interuption, however I cannot simply sit back and let another noble idea be bruised and battered by the so common practices here at the IGS.
Perhaps the Empire's have yet to approve a funding for such research or the proper paperwork and distribution rights for the antidote have yet to be brought into circulation. However, that is far down the road. From what I see is a budding project with immense potential that could change the lives of countless people.
Who are we to question the scarcity of 'good' people in the EVE cluster? Where do we get the right to assume there are no one willing to assist in the funding of such great projects?*
It is quite obvious that for some unknown or unspoken reason the majority of IGS would hope to see a dark twist or a failure to the plot... Now I am not saying any of the replies that have currently been made would indicate such behavior. It is just my hopes to quell any invitations to attempt to deter such positive works.
Viorla, you have my sincerest wishes at a bright endeavor and my complete backing on this project. I wish I could offer any financial backing, but currently I am already in the planning of backing yet another project in the medical field and cannot stretch myself thin. I hope you find many contributors to your cause. I would be more then willing to come aboard when I can secure the budget with my personal accountant. As of now he would rather see me podded I am afraid...
Sincerely,

Mr Veldstar thank you for words of support and your are indeed most correct in all you say, we have a sponsor whose donations to date are more than enough to keep this project afloat but any medical data you may bring light upon in regards to vitox or vitoc would be most aprFsheated if shared with us.
Again I thank you Mr Veldstar. Sano Quod Servo |

This is indeed a good project and I wish you success in it. If you succeed your names will be written in the Matari hearts forever.
Yet seeing the world as it is I beg you to take any precautions possible so that the results don't fall into the wrong hands. As you have seen from the proto types the results would be devastating.
