I've recently invested into the exploration timesink in order to be able to probe out, and harvest, these RADAR sites in 0 sec. After gutting out three sites, I'm at my wits end with these dratted things.
The risk... Most of these sites aren't tankable in a T2 fitted & rigged raven. I take so much damage that my shields hit zero in literally seconds. The reward... So far, the only reward I've received for endless hours of probing and coping with hordes of high end rats are... BPCs that no one seems to want (read: Cryptic Tuner & Cryptic Data Interface 2/4 runs), and worthless (read: 220k/pc) data cores. Give me a break.
Please, someone, tell me that I'm doing something wrong, and these sites are actually worthwhile. ---

Also, yes, the sites are hard. Exploration sites are supposed to be geared towards high-end PvE.

Sorry, but I'm pretty sure those don't come from RADAR sites... You're thinking of archaeology, no? ---

So... anyone have anything good to say about hacking sites? At this point, I'm just about ready to dump the profession and consider the weeks and weeks of training a complete write-off. ---

I much prefer the Mag sites (Archaelogy), but the RADAR sites do have some nice things. Faction POS BPC's and if you're very lucky, you get some ship interfaces for invention. I got a 4 bpc run that brought in something like 700m after expenses were paid. Meh, i dunno. Depends on so many factors, luck being the biggest one.

Got a Core A-type LAR, Core A-Type armor explosive hardener, and countless Booster BPC`s from a radar site today.

Sorry, but the Serpenti city only spawns in the Assilot Constellation in Cloud Ring and as such not everyone has access to it. I also suspect it's not working as intended since it's extremely easy to farm as it is.
For anyone curious here's how it works: It's a radar signature that's fairly easy to find(far easier than even the RADAR sites in low-sec), it drops Core A-types, Drug BPCs and drug related skillbooks and it instantly respawns WITHIN THE SAME CONSTELLATION when completed. Of course I'm only saying this since the isk-farming corp Cosmic Odyssey has been running it 23/7 with 3-4 chars for a few weeks now, it's getting more than just a bit blatant, but CCP doesn't seem to care.
In any case, yes the sites that aren't in Assilot are usually worthless, don't bother. Once a while you'll get lucky and get something semi-valuable but the vast majority of the time then it's maybe 5-10m in hard to sell loot. Mining will be many times more profitable over time and far less demanding.

First of... what type of rats you got? Peronally i seem to have no problem most of the time (but then i also use a dual-repped (large T2 reps) domi with abouth 85% rat-dependent resists).
Anyway, unfortuanly, your not doing anything wrong... first of, the datacore prices from agents was slashed, but ofc. the drop rate from Radar sites wasnt increased , so the datacores are just meh...
Secound, As interfaces are never used up, the price will just drop and drop...
The only thing in a radar site still worth anything is ship interface bpc's (a 4 run will give you 500m - 700m after build cost atm). However, these are so rare that they wont nearly make up for all the time put into duing radar sites (and if they wasnt so rare, the price would be stupid low on these also).
So, to summerice, the day-to-day radar site drop value are now largely negative (counting hours it takes to find the sites, ammo cost and so on), and the "big find - struck gold" site you find once every 3-4 months will not put you into positive.
Now, alot of people will probably come here saying stuff like "we dont do exploration for the isk", "it isnt bouth the isk, its abouth the path we travel" and "exploration is only a mini-profession", this is of cource bull**** (hacking and archelogy WAS mini-professions, but with exploration that changed). Saying stuff like that is the same as saying that mining, ratting or missionrunning shouldnt earn you isk as some people enjoy doing it

I'm dealing with Angel Rats. Specifically, in my last site, eight 1.150.000 ISK Gist Cherubims spawned. With 85% resists across the board, they were slugging away 200 damage a shot at me.
Although everything you've said matches what I've been coping with since I learned to hack, hearing it from someone else just broke my heart. I'm burnt out from Mining, I hate missions, and lack safe space to rat in. Exploration was a desperate grab for a new way to make money... looks like it's a complete flop.
Sigh. ---

My problem with Radar Sites is high sec Exploration. Before Revelations II I could reliably find at least 1 Radar sig a night over a period of 2 hours (find system with sig and scan down site).
Now however I am lucky if I find 1 in a week. Is this because more people are trying exploration or because the spawn rate has dropped? Also I dont get a chance to log on till 8pm BST atm so I dont know if all the sites get scanned and completed before I log on.

I can do all of the 4 different RADAR sites solo in a battlecruiser without any problem. This is in sansha 0.0 space.
And yes they're only really worth the effort when you get a ship interface print. Prices of datacores will hopefully rise in the future though.
The Magnetometric sites are awesome though, and generally alot easier.

Im sorry, I'm at a loss here, it seems.
I do lots and lots of exploration in 0.0, and I'm assuming that the sites I find are the same as yours.
I run all of these perfectly fine in a T-2 ishkur. If the **** gets too hairy, I drop in an alt in a shuttle to run at high traversal (for cruise turrets etc) - but that's about it. I remember trying once in a BC that went close to popping upon entry, and my friend's ishtar nearly went up in flames on an escalation site. But again, since I started doing it in the rail fitted ishkur, I've been A ok.
The money I've made so far ain't to shabby either.
Are we talking about the same sites at all?

Ok first things first Miss Holly "Don't know Jack" Hotdrop, Serpentis City spawns anywhere in Serpentis space not just in Assilot, although it is rather rare. Furthurmore it's one of the hardest radar sites to find and last but not least use your main if you want to call us an ISK farming corp you balless little heathen.

Nice try, but the point here is that the site respawns within the same constellation instantly on completion, and if you somehow manage to spend more than 15 mins narrowing it down then you should consider training astrometric pinpointing past 1.
In any case, you can't possibly say with a straight face that sliver 0xd/tiki bmp isn't an isk farmer/ebayer, pics of parts of his contracts history: http://xs.to/xs.php?h=xs218&d=07322&f=tikifarm.PNG http://xs.to/xs.php?h=xs218&d=07322&f=sliverfarm.PNG Important to note that those are only parts of his contracts history, note the scroll bar and that there are multiple pages. This combined with the fact that he's online 23/7 with at least one of his chars pretty much tells the whole story. If anything, it shows that the radar site in assilot is extremely farmable and CCP should do something to stop such blatant ebayers.

Yes he loves doing plexes, others love to mine and build, others like to rat a lot, some make money off killing people then other less scrupulous people scam others for a living. Point is you have to do something to make money, one player or two does not make a whole corp a farming corp and even less an ebay selling scheme you tard. Sounds like you tried to go there and got wtfpwned and now you are bitter. Now grow some and post with your main please.
And i reiterate if you knew anything about exploration you would know that it takes a lot longer than 15 mins to scan down the special cosmos region plexes, funny how you don't mention anything about the 7 ( I believe it's seven) other cosmos regions that have the same type of plex as Serpentis City only difference is the faction of the rats, in other words it respawns immediately somewhere in the constellation and has a boss that has a chance of dropping faction loot same as Serpentis City.
Get a clue then get a grip and actually go exploring you'll make plenty of ISK yourself.

Ahahaha, you really don't have a clue do you? You think I'm calling you on it because of isk?
The point here is that the Serpenti City(you've misspelled it so many times now that I don't think you have any idea about the matter) does NOT spawn in the same manner in fountain, which is another serpentis region. Go down there if you like and try for yourself, I did, cleared the whole cosmos constellation of radar sites, found 1, normal site with a couple cans. You'll see that the Serpenti city with its duel ground is part of the RP'ing part of the Assilot constellation. Read up on the Intergalactic bulletin next time you pass through.
The BR and sansha cosmos constellations do not spawn like in assilot, this is obvious from a quick look on contracts. Same thing with angel cosmos, again judging by contracts.

LOL
1) Assilot is so over crowded now its more profitable to explore everywhere else.
2) The dozen time I have done the plex, I have had about 10% success rate, in getting anything valuble. The core a-type loot doesnt actually sell that well.
2) I would think that most people who "farm" assilot (and any other player with a niche) sell their loot with alts. As we dont [use alts to sell] it looks like we farm.
4) Booster BPC are worth crap (infact anything to do with boosters).
As my good friend erikel stated, it can take HOURS and HOURS to find the radar. The sig strength can range from 0.01 to 0.001, considering the unknown sigs have strengths of +5 to +20, its a hard thing to spent time doing.
To the complainers: I bet you were some of the isk farmers we have to continually run out of cloudring and fade. You and your cloaked ravens. __________________________

Hm, maybe you are just really bad at it. Ask sliver, or just add tiki to your address book. He uses tiki to help probe and then logs him off once he finds the site. Usually takes a couple minutes at most.
