CCP says that character without aggro will dissappear in 2 minutes, if logged off in space.
Well, i personally witnessed it on multiple occassions that this is not true. Sometimes character dissappers in less then 1 minute. Combining usage of addressbook and stopwatch, i was able to verify this multiple times.
Anyone else had similar expierence? Is this bug, exploit or another lame feature? |

Exactly how did you verify it with address book and stopwatch? I could see leaving from the address book as a different state then gone from a system. The person is gone, but the ship is still in space and can be probed and popped. I know it doesn't happen all the time as we did exactly that to a BS a couple of days ago.

Pilot is gone from local and at the same time, i get notification that he is no longer online. Then i start my stopwatch, i have pilot's ship on scanner and it's gone from space in less then 1 minute sometimes.

because he wants to hunt him down i recon :)
anyways, you see him on your directional scanner or are you using long range probes? because the pilot will log off and leave the local chat window, but the ship will still be there and warp of to a distant spot, normally outside of your directional scanners range. once arrived it will stay there for a bit and then disappear after the timer. you'll need probes to reach him then. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Why this matters?
If ships without agro would still be in space for 2 minutes (as CCP stated) after logging off, i guarantee you, 80% of logoffs would never happen or their ships would get killed.
To Ronny: yes, i see him on directional scanner and within range of scanner probe i use. After log off, ship will warp away to random spot exactly 1M km away, which normally is in my scanner (and probe) range.
