Ok, so now ships leed into structure with 20% armor left??? Can't recall me reading it in the patch notes yesterday, but correct me if I am wrong on this.
What i do read was FIXING the bleeding into armor when you had perfect tactival shield manipulation and still had shield left.
I did not test yet if that is actulay fixed now, but seeing struct bleeding all of a sudden just maked me feel awkward. How can this be, when you fix one thing ur not supposed to 'break' another quite similar thing.
Anyways, I ain't happy with the new bleeding.

/bin/?!
You better hope that there are not many Linux/MacOSX users now, checking the /bin directory on their computers, deleting a bunch of files that really shouldn't be there... ;>
I'll just assume that they are just bright and smart people and that they noticed your error. ;>

Hi CCP,
Need some help here.
The interface updated crsh letting the CRC error. Unzip the bin.zip files.
But the commons.ini CRC is corrupted here: expected 17e3f9
Could you, please, just post a link to this 1KO file here ?
I don't want to reinstall all just for this small one if possible.
Cheers, Yank

Got that during the auto update process. Ok... I reinstall EVE from the client 34791 and apply the downloaded patch evepatch34791-36191.exe
Same error.
Sweet :(
Me too.
Are you guys both running Vista?
Same error here, running XP-Pro
My current installation is from 2005 updated to current (minus this patch).
----- Gone today, however,

2 things pls,
1 - in the beginning of the thread there are loads of responses from gm's/dev's, but nothing from page 4 on.
2 - Because of the whole profile thing with vista I'm running my 2nd account under alternate credentials and from a seperate folder. This worked without problems before the patch, now the process launches but no interface appears. I haven't seen any other post about it, can u please look into it ? ______________________________________ "There are NO bugs in EVE, just oversights" ----- Oveur and TomB, EvE fanfest 2006 |

So, the tut2.file is corrupted and now i'll be reinstalling the client? Downloading whole 640MB over my cell phone link?
Nah, I don't think so. :)

I suspect it is bugged.

Confirmed as well.
This is not a bug, it is part of the original design of the multispectral frequency probes. These probes are currently being re-designed to take into account the new scan category. until then you can use racial scan probes to differentiate between exploration sites.
Your going to have to confirm on this because I'm confused. Are you saying that when you scan with a multi probe under "cosmic Sig" they are still showing encounters? or are they showing only normal exploration "unknowns" ?

I tried to get on EVE client and finished downloading. Then I decided to get on, but all I get is a big blank screen where the EVE login client should be.
Then I decided to delete EVE client and download an entirely new one. I assumed it would solve the problem but it didnt. I still get a blank screen where the client should be. What am I doing wrong?

Edited by: Zaran Darkstar on 28/08/2007 22:38:44 Before the update i could use my punisher to tank/attack sufficiently. Now with NOS nerf i can no longer but i got no other option for that slot either since the punisher can fit no more than 3 turret hardpoints and has no launchers. Can you add 1 more turret hardpoint to the punisher or a laucher hardpoint so that the NOS nerf doesn't kill completely the ship's potential?

The error : Linkage
Ocured after the patch. I have 2 computers, stationary and a laptop. Eve installation on the laptop patched fine. And works. Eve installation on the stationary experiences the error.
Steps taken : - Uninstalled the client, deleted everything eve related. - Copied working eve installation from laptop to stationary via a usb stick, it results in the error above (wich is weird, does the crc check have something to do with some kind of pc id ?). - Reinstalled the client, same error. - Reinstalled the client once more, using bin downloaded from front page, same error as above. - Posted here :) ----------------------

Could you put up the entire patch in a zip file? I get CRC error on lib.ccp and stdlib.ccp and those files have not been patched.
Yes, I am lazy and really don't want to reinstall

Originally by: CCP Zulupark2 At the moment I'd advise people to download a fresh full client if they're having issues with files in the /bin/ folder being corrupted. This appears to be limited to only Windows Vista users at the moment.
We're working on finding the cause for this though and hope to have something on it soon.
NOT limited to only Vista users. I'm using XP SP2.

Use a separate install folder for each client, create a shortcut to each of the eve.exe files and append "/END /LUA:OFF" switch to each of them.
ok i have 4 folders and 4 desktop short cuts for them. so where to i add that stuff.
Click 'properties' for each of the shortcuts, and behind the path to the eve.exe file ("C:\Program Files\CCP\EVE1\eve.exe" for example) add "/END /LUA:OFF" with quotation marks and all.
ok i right clicked and wne to properties, i have target or start in.. so i tried to put what you said to in both befor and after whats there and it keeps telling me its not a valid path.. what do i do...

Originally by: Mephysto For those people having a problem with the client warning of modified, damaged or corrupt extra files in the /bin/ directory, the issue is that some old files have been cleaned out of our internal builds.
