Well that is just brilliant!!!!
Read 2.2 patch notes and had little bursts of glee.
Just spent last 2 hours scanning down what i thought was a unknown cosmic signature, only to find out that it is most likley just the anomilies present in the system. Why even mention such a change in the patch if it didn't even address the problem???
Great job CCP!!!

Plenty, most after cleaning all encounters from system.
But there's a new bug with encounters; for two times, after getting the popup message telling XXX guy speaks (receives encounter coordinates), the expedition tab under journal window was empty. And noone else in the gang received the expedition (they were no dead ends). GM replyed telling us it was fine and he cannot see anything wrong. This happened on 2 of 6 encounters, both drone encounters.
I also noticed an increase of drone encounters in a non drone region... even more than before the patch, and the normal encounters are all XX Hub or another small encounters. I still have to see a XXX Sanctum or XXX Haven after 30 encounters completed (19 were drone encounters).
And the gangwarp is bugged, when I selected gangwarp to 50Km, I warped in at 50Km while the rest of the gang warped in at 0Km...

I havent. Only unknowns, which all have been those frekking anomalies(=encounters).

Anomaly's showing up on multispec giving the impression that they are cosmic signatures.
Has anyone figured out a way to work around this other than clearing out all the encounter sites first and then seeing if one still gets a signature?
Sort of dont' like the idea of covering a system in quest probes and spending up to a few hours time scanning without having a good indication its a true radar site and not one of the encounters.
The lazy side of me would prefer not to have to clear a system of encounters first. Especially considering the increased number of them that are now spawned. They seem to be present in nearly every system now. Often, more than one.

Multispec probes are affected only by UNKNOWN readings.
Grav/Mag/Radar are working fine, and if you get that reading in Cosmic Signatures, there is a site of that type present in the system. --

The problem is the amount of effort that needs to be expended in order to try and get the radar/Mag/Grav reading. I really don't want to have to cover a system and perform multiple scans with a racial probe to only find out after an hour or two that there is indeed no real plex, just the encounters. This was not as much an issue before the patch because there were not the number of encounters spawned that there is now. Now, just about every system has one or more encounters active.
There needs to be some way of determining whether an unknown is a true plex or an enounter without having to clear out all the encounters first or going through the effort and time to search for signals that could very well not even be there.
This has the potential to waste hours of time because one will always have to wonder: "Am I not getting a radar hit because it doesn't exist or is it there and I just need to adjust my coverage and keep on scanning for hours to find that really weak one".
When I know a signal is there but it requires potentially hours to track down because it is so weak(and thus very likely a plex that is worth doing), I am okay with that.
Spending hours looking for a signal that isn't even there, I am not so okay with.

Lets try again here. If you get a RADAR hit, it WILL BE a Hacking site.
Encounters, ONLY AFFECT Unknown results.

1-Drop multispec. 2-Select cosmic signature 3-scan 4-Ignore Unknowns (unless you are a masochist). If the MS probe gives you a hit on Radar, Gravimetric, or Magnetometric hit drop appropriate probe types blanketing system. 5-If you have Unknowns and say...a Radar hit....drop radar probes. If you happen to catch the Unknown DS gate....bonus. Otherwise use that fabulous chance-based system, get a book to read, and remember to look up every couple minutes to scan again .
