Tried this out for a Pilgrim setup:
3x Medium Unstable, Covops Cloak
AB II, Electro Injector, Web, Disrupter II, TD II
MAR II, 800 RT, 2x EANM II, Energized Themric II
2x Egress Port Maximizer
Gets the activation on the neuts down to like 85 cap, making them 450% ( ish ) efficient, so against BC and down you do have sufficient cap to neut your opponent flat, and then use a single neut to mess with whatever they inject, without screwing yourself too badly.
Good luck against a BS tho. Your signature exceeds the maximum allowed dimensions of 400x120 pixels and filesize of 24000 bytes -Sahwoolo Etoophie ([email protected]) |

Edit: Were capboosters somehow not a problem prior to 2.2? I think not. The idea was still to time your booster before a rep cycle to stop a nos boat stealing it. Nothing has changed in that respect.
Obviously your not reading because I see this thread more focused on the pilgrim and why its terrible and not the curse.
Appart from the first 2-3 pages. You might want to try reading the OP and the title of the thread too, smart arse.

Curse kicks ass still, Pilgrim I can't speak for.
Neuts/nos, and careful use of an injector(meaning you can inject something other than 800s for once) means that you'll chew quite a few BCs apart with the same setup, but not EVERY BC.
Battleships better damn well destroy a RECON(ie SUPPORT) cruiser.
If other recons do more damage fitting for DAMAGE in the highs than a Curse fitting for NOS/NEUTS, but it's close due to drones, that's fair.
Nos and neut do "damage" persay to a tank anyway, and a lot more.
Why can't a Curse/Pilgrim do support? In a fleet, for example, sniping battleships would get destroyed if a tracking disruptor lands on it. Hell, they wouldn't even get to fire.
Gang warfare? They perform fairly proficiently, it's hard to keep an eye on everything in a fight and if suddenly your cap is dropping like crazy then you'll go down goddamned fast(assuming you're primaried).
Curse has roles that other recons are better at, but that doesn't mean anything. Why should the Curse be the best at everything? What the **** are you guys thinking stating that "well, Lachesis/huginn/rapier is better at fleet/gang".
Curse is still the best for destroying a tank. It can't make the ship stop firing back as well(usually), but it is the tank destroyer of the recons.
Pilgrim might suck for all I know, but Curse does not.
STFU.

You might want to take a reeeally close look at the optimal and falloff of TDs.
Also, around 4 out of 6 pages of this thread are about the pilgrim. And even the freaking 2nd 2.2 changes devblog states that the pilgrim is not good in gangs.

Exept this thread has 6 pages. And not even the first pages mention the curse alone. In short: your post was pointless. We've been there, done that, moved on.

Originally by: Leo Balthur I'm just astonished ppl are sooo noobish.
Show me a pvp battleship setup without a hvy cap inj t2 (5x800) thats about 60 cap/s, bursting it means using all the cap to keep your tank going and not giving any to the nosing recon.
Pre-nerf you would keep your noses distributed soi you would probably suck a chunk of that injected cap, that means some brake in the tank. Longer the fight bigger your chances to kill the bs.
After the nerf, the battleship is still injecting the capacitor, and going with his tank. But the curse is sitting close to 0% cap, thus needs to use a cap injector too.
Now the real deal...
BS cargo > Recon cargo
ergo the recon has no chances to out-survive a battleship nor in cap-terms speaking, nor in tank/dps terms.
If thats not nerfed I dunno what is.
They had problems against bs's before, now i say is suicide to engage a bs, unless it's a noob flying it.
Curse & Pilgrim, unless you buy them with a 'how to fly' manual included, they are nerfed.

ok I still see that ppl don't know what we (amarr recon pilots) are after. I'm not saying the pilgrim can't nuke someone's cap. It can. Is it effective ? Hell no. (neutdomi)
I'm not gonna even say a word about that" hey look the pilgrim and curse pwn in fleets bcos they can disrupt the sniping battleships staying 200km from the fleet". WTB 200KM OPTIMAL TRACKING DISRUPTORS.
Now when the nos nerf is in place there's no fricking chance to OUTLAST a bs in cap terms.
OUTLAST !!! NOT OMFGBBQ his cap and use magic or something liek that to have cap to run your tank etc.
You get it ? The key word is OUTLAST THE ENEMY WHILE OMFGPWNING HIS CAP...
If the "omg they nerfed a pwnmobile" guys still don't get it, plz quit EVE.
The only thing I can think off is to give the pilgrim an uber cap (hey maybe I would use lasers on it NOT).

This whole thread has been done to death at least 6 times over. But then thats what forums are for, isn't it.

Perhaps but I would say this thread has the most detailed information on the subject of the pilgrim.

Achura char + (former) wtfpwnboat + whine = 100% loss
Did I misread it, or does the OP complain that he can't kill BCs and missiles aren't affected by his tracking disruptors? I wouldn't be surprised if he matched up his Curse against his friend's Drake

It's all about managing your cap now. Curse 3 medium nosf 1 energy neut Pilgrim 2 medium nosf 1 medium neut. use the neut as a personal cap drainer in order to get less than your opponet then nosf him turn off neut if you have 2 to support your mids and lows(which you should always be able to use) rinse and repeat this cycle. It takes awhile to get used to BUT is still extremely effective. I guess what this nerf did was have to make us amarr recon pilots ultra aware of what is going on at all times. Remember things that hurt your cap are your friends:)

Protip: stop trying to solo kill BS with injectors in your force recon, pilgrims are not for killing every BS you meet.
