Hello again Salvis !
Just to be sure of something : i don't really need to make a backup of my "ressources" files since all items or ships i have are "saved" by the API each time i reinstall EveMEEP right?
Except for blueprints or items i put in corp hangar....for those items in corp hangar i have to back files right? And what will happen when i reinstall files, enter the API key again and reput backed up files? Will items in my private hangar appear twice?

How does one access the bill of materials after setting orders?

Is there something wrong on my end, or is this on Eve-Meeps side?
Yeah - I expirience that too sometimes (especially with lots of jobs on the bill)
Unchecking all and then checking them again a few times makes it work for me (at least i don¦t see negative amounts when all are unchecked if i did that a few times)

This is an excellent resource. Many thanks to all who have labored on it.
I'm looking at the reprocessing calculator.
At first I thought the 'Sell Price' and 'Total Sell Price' were the sums of the amounts for each mineral, but then I realized that information was really off in the 'Total Sell Price' on the right hand side for Material calculations.
However, the first digit of the Materials for tritanium, and the last digit of the Materials for Megacyte appear to be hidden. I've tried maximizing the window, etc, without changing this. The values are there, because the 'Total Price' column for that mineral is correct.

I seem to be experiencing a couple of problems with the program.
1. When I went to add Zydrine in my inventory, it didnt list it under minerals. In fact it didnt list it under anything.
2. My inventory of minerals and bpc do not get reduced as I enter jobs in. should it automatically deduct them from my inventory?

Aaspa: If you want to make backups, the only thing to back up is the profiles folder. That contains everything about your characters, their assets, information etc. You can even transfer that folder between computers or whatever and it will be loaded.
Ulstan: I will look into the resizing and hopefully fix that.
Sha NaeNae: The bill of materials has been bug reported to not always be accurate, even negative at times. A possible fix is to check and uncheck things. As for entering jobs, it does not remove from your inventory automatically. This is actually the only issue left for me to fix before I release. When you create a production job at a location, or the API says you started a production job somewhere, should I reduce your assets accordingly? Initially I say yes, but the problem is, which assets to reduce? You could have several different piles of trit in the same system, or no piles in the system. If you have moved the materials to the location and then started the job, MEEP cant know what was moved to keep track of accordingly. If the system were perfect, I could take the location of the job, find the materials there, and adjust your assets, but really my options are: Dont keep track of materials used in production jobs and just update assets manually/every API call, or try to keep track but inaccurately. If anyone thinks of a third option thats better, let me know. Anyways, enough of my ranting. ------

Got no answer from my previous post, so I am reposting... I really need help with this...
Under the Invention tab, I see prices at the bottom right side of the screen.
I understand Material Cost Per Try, aka what it costs to go out buy the stuff you need to try that one try of invention.
I understand Station Fee as the station charges a fee based on the time you are using their resources to create your BPC.
I don't quite understand Cost Per Success, Profit From Blueprint, nor Cost Per Result Run...
Sort of... Example numbers below are way off, and are just numbers pulled out of my hat...
It costs me 5 mill for Materials Cost and 1.5 mill for Station Costs, then my Cost Per Success is 25 mill, my Profit For Blueprint is 25 mill, and my Cost Per Result Run is about 2.1 mill.
With 12 runs for the new BPC, my 25 mill Cost Per Success divided by the 12 runs, is about 2.1 mill each individual module or ship I build per run of the BPC.
So I have to add the 2.1 mill Cost Per Result Run to the build cost when I build the T2 item. I think?
Were I to sell the BPC, I would need to make 25 mill + a profit factor to make a profit. (this seems to make sense)
But if it costs me 6.5 mill (Material Cost and Station Fee) to make the BPC, where does that 25 mill isk figure come in? So how do I figure out that Cost Per Success? What is that, and how is that calculated? I can't seem to figure out what costs are factored in to get that number... I have looked in a bunch of the forums posts, and web pages, and still am unsure...
Thoughts?
Added info...
The numbers for mineral and T2 item quantities are correct for when I build the invented BPC, but when I invented something I did not get the calculated results... instead of a 10 run, I got a single run PBC... not sure why!

Well you seem to have it pretty well. Cost per success takes the total cost for one invention and divides by the chance to succeed. Then, we take cost per success and divide by the amount of runs that are given, giving you the cost per run per success.
That number can be used as the cost of the BPC used when producing the item.
As for the 1 run thing, it depends on the blueprint because CCP actually adjusted some things in a patch and broke some ships, so that could be it. ------

Salvis - perhaps if you ask for a lock on the 2.2.1.0 thread, and update the first thread to point to this one rather than the 2.2.1.0 thread - people like myself wont think they are on the right thread.
So, without reading 11 pages first some quick comments - that maybe you already know:
1) i have three toons on my account, the wrong one is started by default 2) the building/efficiency of ME no longer accounts for the recent change that .01% waste counts in a 1000 run job 3) when inventory is filled via loading the transaction log you cannot edit the entry to reflect the current situation. Always get a range error. 4) when entering inventory manually you can edit the per item price, but when modifying price later you must enter total value and average price is calculated. 5) Question: is inventory meant to be a transaction log (enter a negative amount to subtract/track materials used). 6) would love to see a way to enter in the BPO's I have via a checkbox method, selecting multiple items - same for items: especially materials, or speed keys: all minerals, all moon materials, all (racial) t2 components, all projectile ammo (by size), etc.. 7) I have finally figured out how I suppossed to get the scheduler working - but to use it well I need to get my inventory filled - and that is extremely time consuming as it fills some items based on purchases but I cannot edit those based on builds it cannot see.
Thanks for putting up with our concerns: this is much better than what I could ever do myself! /me bows

One option might be to just lump all resources together. I tend to have "types" of resources located in particular locations, so it¦s location in inherent on it's type.
I have not seen where I can specify location of resources yet, probably did not look hard enough.
I suppose it is possible to create multiple "stacks" of items. If I could create a negative stack - that could be a transfer to corp hangars e.g. for corp usage, whereas items put on sale (viewable via manual API of Orders) could be withdrawn from inventory.
Having someway to "credit/debit" inventory to corp hangars is a way for me to better manage corp finances, as in cost of production, versus cost of buying simaliar/same items directly on market.
A feature I would like - and maybe it is there already - is to create a "planned order". E.g. I want to plan for building 100 merlins. The result is a summary/project of materials that need to be purchased and/or withdrawn from inventory. Again, this is to create a planning. I suspect that much of this is already there, but because I have have been having so much trouble getting my current inventory entered - I have not actually experimented enough to see if I can get this with the current program features.
Thanks again! You also mention that the API can see what my current jobs are: I missed that too. Please inform - as I have looked for that and not found it. |

regarding planning: an extension would be the planning of building a capital ship such as a cap freighter where step 1 is getting the moon materials, per cap. building module OR, for the total of the build, and proposed schedule for assembling the components, followed by the build for the cap ship itself.
This model would be suitable for any T2 item as well, where you have more than just minerals or materials but "pre-fab" components as well.

FYI. Same "bug" here as well. Each attempt to manually enter Zydrine did create an entry in the assets.xml (hope it is that one :P) - but only Zydrine did no show up in the invertory browser. I have tried to fix this by buying 1 item of each mineral to get an automatic entry of Zydrine. All the other minerals show up in the inventory. Only Zydrine does not.

Yet another example of things I do not understand.
I am in the "Reprocessing Calculator" - the prices it gives for the minerals are coming from where?
I go to the Minerals "pricer", and select one of the import possibilities, e.g. Battleclinic, and apply. The screen flashes - as if the prices are changing, but they do not come close to what was applied.
In the "Multicomponent Calc." a) I try to "Set Cost" and this resets the prices of the materials back to some strange default (not using my buy price actually paid in any case, or of items "outstanding" in my inventory). While from the popup text I was expecting the button to set the price of the item in the price list. b) Create Job: I can use the string "Factory" Once, so I provide a second string and enter a second job. Would be handy to be able to define locations both prior to submitting a job as well as during a job - and not just a random string, but in category (corp, private, POS (Moon), etc.. c) Add to Bill: the prices in the Bill are the defaults - not the values I am looking at.
p.s. I had some errors with startup and updated .Net 2 to the latest cumm. fixpack - just in case that was the problem. .Net 3 might also be installed (as an update was presented). .Net 1 is also installed and updated. Are there any known issues with multiple .Net rte (runtime environments) installed?

When I create a sell order and importing this from Eve this appears correctly in the in the statistics area of my inventory as 'Trying to Sell'. However, once sold, even after making an export from the orders area of Eve and importing this, although the Orders section of Finances now shows this as closed, the statistics area of the inventory for that item still shows it as 'Trying to Sell'. The 'Total Sold' statistic has updated. I assume this is a bug, but how do I update the satistics to now show that 'Trying to Sell' is now zero. The totals in the details area has updated. Really excellent tool by the way.

Pricing: I cant seem to get the MultiComponent Calculator to value the input materials in the way I would like.
In the Preferences/Market Logs, I have set BuyHigh and SellLow as the default types of math to use in non-specific calculations.
The multicomponent calculator will use the BuyHigh value, but I would prefer to use the SellLow value, as it better represents the opertunity cost of the materials.
If I tick the 'Use Sell Price' box, it instead uses the SellMean value, rather than the SellLow value I had asked for in the preferences; this is a prety useless value, if, for example, someone has put up a sell order that is 10 times the going rate.
Personally I would like to have options of using BuyHigh, SellLow, and the a value half way between these two values.
I would also like the option of getting prices only from orders in Jita IV 4 Caldari Navy assembly plant, rather than forge wide prices.
And one other bug report: Setting PE to -1 results in a production time of Infinity Minutes, which doesnt seem quite right.

Is there any danger in using the Full API key? Does the application report any info outside of storing character and corp info locally? I apologize if I seem paranoid, but CCP gives big warnings about using your Full API key.

Ive not posted here before so, for starters, awesome tool. Kudos for keeping it going and the all the work you must have put in.
Im posting because I noticed that theres some of the invention stuff that is definately not matching up to reality. Not anything to do with invention chances, but actually the runs of a resulting BPC doesn't always match up.
One recent one seems to be the T2 Cruisers. Ive not checked them all, but certainly this one:
Omen BPC + Formation Layout Evemeep says that the result run increases as the input bpc runs increase, so that a max run (15) omen bpc with Formation layout gives a 10 run Zealot BPC. If only it were true lol.
Must confess I tried it in the interests of science earlier because I never normally use Formation layout, but alas Evemeep is definitely wrong and you do always get a 1 run BPC result.
I did read some other comments here and didnt see this mentioned, though I confess I havent read the whole thread. -------------------------- "Nah, its just sellotape." |

Sorry if this has already been posted, but it looks like the PG & CPU for the Medium Ship Assembly Array is incorrect in the POS Fuel Calculator. I'm running Eve-MEEP 2.3.3.0 and it looks like version 1.3.2 of the POS Fuel Calc.

Hello Salvis, me again
I have an other question : is it possible to make a copy of files and send it to someone else? With the previous version it was possible to save inventories then send it to someone. But now we can't save, i'm wondering how i could send it to someone because i need to share my inventory with directors.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

I was hesitant about using it as well, but it does add a lot. Also, on the CCP API page there is a link you can use to what IP addresses are using your limited and/or Full API.
If you see an address you question: change your API numbers. And, as far as I can see, there is a lot of information someone could get from your full API - especially if you are a CEO or Director, or have membership roles - such as see where all your members are, when they last logged in, etc.. BUT - they cannot login as you.
Use with caution - means verify noone else is using it - there is a way!

Whats the best way to input my own mineral prices.
Once a day i have values i want to input into eve.
I dont want to fly to jita, and do market dumps, and import those -- Also i dont like the numbers that are produced that way.
Its also a pain in the ass to manually edit prices. Because I really only want to edit one price for titanium. Not the many amounts that are on the edit price page.
I have tried exporting my data, then editing the exported prices.xml file so that i set the trit prices all to my new value, and then tried importing. But that doesnt seem to work.
Any ideas on how i can do this?
