Edited by: dakeann on 20/02/2008 19:07:47 i don't know if this has been pointed out but a way to salve the inventory problem is to download it every 23 hours with the full api key and just have it re write the inventory save file with what it downloads
out of curiosity do you get an xml when you download the inventory with the api or is it just raw data and your writing it to the xml

Localization Bug:
Hoi there, first off: thanks for this tool. It looks like a great basis to grow into a fullblown toolbox with your plugin system.
But sadly i can hardly use it, because of a serious problem affecting practically every number. I have a localized version of WinXP and in Germany we use the '.' and ',' in figures exactly the other way around - 1/4 is "0,25" and 1k is written "1.000".
Eve-Meep currently does not catch this when importing numbers. Neither, logs and using the eve-central method don't work.
The formatting when displaying numbers uses a strange "mix": it reports for example a balance of "12.345.678.90" using the dot as both the decimal and digit sign.

Originally by: Breathing Ive not posted here before so, for starters, awesome tool. Kudos for keeping it going and the all the work you must have put in.
Im posting because I noticed that theres some of the invention stuff that is definately not matching up to reality. Not anything to do with invention chances, but actually the runs of a resulting BPC doesn't always match up.
One recent one seems to be the T2 Cruisers. Ive not checked them all, but certainly this one:
Omen BPC + Formation Layout Evemeep says that the result run increases as the input bpc runs increase, so that a max run (15) omen bpc with Formation layout gives a 10 run Zealot BPC. If only it were true lol.
Must confess I tried it in the interests of science earlier because I never normally use Formation layout, but alas Evemeep is definitely wrong and you do always get a 1 run BPC result.
I did read some other comments here and didnt see this mentioned, though I confess I havent read the whole thread.
Any news on that issue? Just came around the same problem... Possible bypass - set the Blueprint Copy Attribute to 2 Runs. As far as I saw you get correct run results, then.

Tried that, but I get no input into my inventory. Only thing that seems to update my inventory are my trades, i.e. market transactions.

This tool looks great. I have a few questions: Do I have to manually enter every item in my Eve inventory into this tool, or is there a way to export the inventory to an xml-file from Eve? I also notice that the ore/minerals I mine is not updated here, Does that mean the Meep inventory is based on updates in the transaction logs only?

Edited by: Z010 on 13/03/2008 08:55:19 I have only seen it work with transaction log affecting inventory. Been waiting for an update for quite a while now for this to be "improved" if it can.
Don't really know what is available via the API. I am getting to the point that I would rather have a tool that does one thing really well, that a lot of things almost.
I guess it is time to research the API and see if I can help myself - or be even more grateful to the tool builders when i see it is beyond my abilities/time curve.

Status Update: After 4 shipments of the wrong part and me threatening to sue, They have informed me that the part is 'out of stock' and will take 5-7 days to ship (this was on March 5th). So you can see how happy I am about this. On the positive side, Next week I should have access to a computer where I can work, at which point the only things I have left to finish are the bug-fixes to the calculators, and making the Bill of materials work properly with the new inventory system. So with any luck, I will have something Soon(tm). ------

Wonder what had the most effect - your threats, or simply they had run out of wrong parts.
Looking forward to the next version!!!

This is still a problem in this ver
BUG: If Windows is set to 120 DPI instead of the 96 DPI default, various things will overflow the EVE-MEEP window and make it generally un-usable. The Preference menu is broke due this reason.
I need use this in 120 DPI because 96 DPI is unreadable on my notebook.
The setting I speak of is in Display control panel, settings, advanced, general, DPI setting on XP

They are accidentally filtered out in the current version. Salvis has found and corrected the bug, and I assume that this fix will go out with the next version.

On my other box however, everything works fine. (vista machine works, laptop with xp2 isn't working).
when application starts, iget the message the profile loaded, just no character pictures, and no character data. ...

FINALLY NEW VERSION 2.4.1.0
Newest version of Eve-MEEP includes: Assets API and inventory tracking -See your inventory based on location or based on item types. -See personal assets and corp assets (depending on roles) -By combining the data from all the APIs including transaction, journal, market orders, science/industry, and of course assets, EveMeep will attempt to keep track of your assets. Every 24 hours a complete and full list is pulled from the API, while the data from the other APIs is used to track assets between updates.
Market Order API -Updated every hour, pulls the same information as exporting the file from Eve-Online client.
Science and Industry API data -Schedual view now ties directly into the API data. See what jobs are going on where, when they will end, and more. -Displays personal industry and corp industry (depending on roles) -Filters allow you to only see what you want to see. -Manually adding jobs has been overhauled and improved to tie directly into the existing data. Choose locations that you have used before, see when different assembly lines are available, and more. Manually entered Jobs get replaced with API-verified jobs as soon as the data is updated.
Outposts API -What good is assets if the program does not know where they go? This automatically updates the saved collection of outposts every 5 days.
Stores Column setting -A much asked-for feature, stores your column arrangements and widths for just about everything.
Bug fixes: Bill of materials works Hopefully fixed the wierd journal download errors
Things you should know: There will be new bugs. This is inevitable and hopefully they will be resolved quickly. Things like the asset management have been tested extensivly, but if (when) bugs crop up, please give me as much information as you can, so that I can identify what went wrong. If you have suggestions, or criticisms, I am more than happy to have them. I will be updating the documentation on the website as soon as I am done writing it Also a major flaw in the data files has left tech 2 ammo off the invention calculator again. I thought it was fixed properly but turned out the data was still wrong, so I have reverted it back to not displaying them. This will be fixed asap. Thanks go out to Rabbit and Dominik for submitting bug fixes for the calculators.
Planned Future Updates I want to include information about items beyond just radius or mass and start including attribute information. This way you can look up an item and see all its information (like rate of fire, velocity, whatever). This should be fairly simple to work in. I will be very interested in UI feedback with the inventory and trying to incorporate changes to make the process simple and intuitive, while providing the most information. Another visual thing that I have been planning is graphs. Someday I swear I will work them in! A constant annoyance to me is having to use the seperate window to load and save item prices from eve-central. I want to tie this feature in with the inventory system better, so you can simply update its value while looking at it. Along with this I hope to include the option of letting meep upload your market data files back to eve-central ------

Hi, There appears to still be a problem in 2.4.1.1 that has crept over from the previous version.
Inventory > Item Details > Prices
When you try and use the horizontal slider - the data to the right of the item name and region column is still unviewable, as the first two columns remain static, and you can just see the data to the right changing instead of scrolling the row to the right.
Hopefully a quick fix of an attribute.
Other than that - 2.4.1.1 is even better than before, with Exceptionally better tracking of assets.

Great to see you are up and at it again.
1) meep web-site still points at 2.3.3.0 version 2) has crashed twice while I try to go into my inventory. It prepares a report for Microsoft - which I dont send. Is there a way I can help you out with debug/crash information.
Definitely looking up! Thank you very much for your sweat and tears!
p.s. Is there an alternative way to load the inventory? I have found another program that can query my inventory, but that is about it. What I notice in both that program and EveMeep is the tendency to see every item as a separate item rather than stack as much as possible. E.g., if I have produced 15 1mn mwd, and 10 rifters I get 25 entries in my inventory whereas I would prefer to just see two - especially if they are items in a corp hangar.
Speaking of corp hangar, having a way to show/hide personal/corp assets would be great too.

I will be updating the site soon (like, nowish), and more so as I write more documentation. When the program crashes there should be an error log generated on the logs folder, in a file with the date. You can open it and see if it has any sort of crash info. If it does, just e-mail it to me (address is on the site), but if it doesnt you will have to try and explain what you were doing when it crashed.
I will go through and see what I can do about automatically combining like-items in the inventory, I agree that it will be much easier (corpse collections for instance take a lot of lines). I will also add the filtering options. ------

First, great tool, thanks a lot for the work in this.
Couple of things, maybe im not using it right but:
I cant seem to load Highest buy order or lowest sell order. Either from market log or eve central. Currently all i can get is the Mean price.
Another thing, is it possible to add an app that makes a "basket" of certain items which can either be loaded from eve-central or market logs and display all relative information? Much like the raw view for editing prices only the point is just to monitor?
Thanks again for the work.

Pushed out version 2.4.1.2, contains some bug fixes:
****VERSION 2.4.1.2**** Bug Fixes: -Fixed bug where last job stats were not properly applied to inventory blueprints -Fixed bug where changing filtered blueprint would not cause the schedual to refresh -Fixed the character cache to display like other cache times -Added ship logs to data files so they show properly -Fixed capital components bug in MCC
The only major one was the first bug listed, and it would go away after a day or so, but still better to get it out there. More updates will be put out as the need arises. ------
