How are we supposed to monitor people taking stuff from our hangers with secure cans now ?
In order to open cans and take stuff from inside whilst in corp hangers, you also have to give them permission to take the whole can from the hanger which sort of defeats the whole purpose.
Corp hangers have been screwed up for a while now, CCP need to release some notes on how these are actually supposed to work, currently its all just trial and error.

It is indeed not an improvement having to give 'container take' permission to take something from a container... screwed up my corps security big time.

It was good a while ago. They it got broken and is still broken.
It would be really really awesome if it would be possible to give people roles to take stuff from containers without ability to take those containers themselves out from hangars. Granted I have not tried it for last few months. Perhaps it's working again ?

It's not working again yet.
I spent an hour this weekend trying different versions of rights to try and get it working using 2 accounts and dual screens and its still buggered.

One of my research alt's is reporting that he cant take stuff anymore from mobile labs bcos he does not have 'config starbase EQ' role. Granted, I siwtched to faction tower 1st sept so there might be some glitch in module configuration I have not done yet, but by default those things should be 'by roles', right ? And my alt's have both container and item take acsess to 'other' (meaning POS) proper hangar sections.
Most likely I will get more time later in the evening after work to look at that issue in more detail, but does anyone else have similar experience after rev 2.2 patch ?
Member acsess roles are still same as before patch.

The default role required to access mobile albs is 'Config starbase equipment', in addition to the roles needed to take/view hangars at 'Other' locations. This requirement can be changed via the tower management screen to corp, alliance, or fuel technician iirc. My research services Spreadsheets: Top speed calculation - Halo Implant stats |

Thanx. I think I might had labs before upgrade configured to allow alliance level take acsess (before they disabled copy from other corps in alliance, and it was bugged anyway). Worth looking into when I get home.

Edited by: Gane Green on 03/09/2007 19:28:21 I tried setting up can acess before and ran into more problems then this.
I made sure the alt I used to test it had the test roles put on it, and only the test roles. Ok here is what happend. If i had view acess to a hanger i can deliver a can out of a hanger that I only had view rights to.
Now I could not deliver the regular items to my own hanger but only cans. Go figure
There are too many loopholes in access that people could overlook and end up having a breach in security and not even know it. If you are working on a can access hanger at the moment try to have someone with only view access to a different hanger with a can and see they can deliver to themselves. with only haveing view access.
I just want someone to confirm this.

got a response from a CCP GM in a general sense its a known issue with the latest patch but its a low priority fix which going on historical evidence means it could be a while

I vote for higher priority on the bug fix. This is a big issue to any corporation with more then few members.
All readers please do place a vote here too.

How they can call this low priority is madness, we need some form of security for our hangers.
They broke it they should make it high priority to fix it.
