Edited by: Granmethedon III on 03/09/2007 12:27:43 OK, I just refreshed my toon in ineve :-
Gran Ineve
I'm spending this month improving my rather lacklustre drone skills; but what do you think I should be looking at from there?
Should I spend a good stint on support skills, seeing as I can now both make an income (0.0 ratting in BS) and have fun pvping in both inties and assualt frigs? If so, where do you think I should start strengthening first?
So many options.....

It's a hard choice. I was in the same boat recently, stuck between which way to go - T2 medium guns, Cov Ops, HAC or support skills.
In the end, I decided on the Cov Ops because it's different from anything else I can fly, and I'm not really actively PvP'ing every day. If I was, I'd prolly go with T2 medium guns for my BC's.
Your gunnery skills (assuming you use turrets as your primary weapons) could do with a bit of work - getting them all to 4 will significantly boost your dps. Advanced weapon upgrades is also insanely useful once you start fitting a full rack of T2 modules. I'm Amarr so can't live without it being at 4. Not sure about Minmatar though.

Thanks for the response.
Yeah Weapon Upgrades 5 and Advanced to at least 3 are in the pipeline for the end of this month, once I've given drones some loving.
I think I'd be looking at Stealth Bombers as next pvp ship, they look pretty fun!
And of course there's not that much I need to do to get into a dictor....

can i ask why you decided to work on the drones, they are a secondary if not tertiary weapons system for pvp and ratting. they are helpful for hitting small rats but i think you would do better with getting your gunnery and ship command skills up.

Edited by: Granmethedon III on 04/09/2007 10:38:38 Well I've had a chat with a few people who said drones are excellent for ratting as they don't use up any ammo, etc, and in particular light drones can help take out the annoying little frigs that I can't hit when they get up close.
I'm doing ok for damage on the bs rats at the moment, I only seem to get problems when a webbing rat gets too close.
May have to have a rethink now, though...

i've got almost exactly the same drone skills you do and they go down, just not as fast. they have never been a problem, are dead long before the bs and cruisers. spend a day or 2 more, but not more than that. the faster you can take down the big boys is more isk. plus with better gunnery you can do better in pvp

Get these skills to level4, get a nice BC for ratting in .0 then work on your gunnery skills.
