Edited by: Jadiin on 06/09/2007 12:34:03 How bad are these? I have to admit to being a bit chicken about them and haven't warped to one.
I'm currently ninja ratting in 0.0 in my cerb and I'm wondering if I warp to one of these zones am I gonna get wtfbbq'd?
Basically what can you expect from a 0.0 one? I don't mind lots of bs etc, as long as there are warp scramming frigs I'm happy to take a look it's just it would suck to warp in, get caught and pwned.
Any advice would be appreciated.
PS: Do these anomalies tie in with the area of space they are in? IE Gurista space means guristas filled anomaly?

My experience is such....
In Pure Blind (Guristas space), all cosmic anomalies are either Guristas or Drone. They spawn in waves of rats, starting with a few frigs and BCs, then working up to 4 or 5 BSs (larger than one might normally find in system). I have no encountered any scrambling frigs.
I don't imagine you will have any problems solo so long as you're careful. The bigger rats tend to be the re-spawn trigger.
Unknown sigs. found with probes on the other hand are too difficult to be solod - BUT will trigger a commander (faction) spawn at the end. Who's the rudest of them all! |

Ah cool. Will give em a whirl tonight so. Might break the monotony of trawling from the top belt to the bottom :)
Cheers.

Should be fine you say? I jumped in to at least, AT LEAST 10 BS spawns a mass of DIRE cruiser spawns and a handful of dessies....
My shields melted and I got out with minor armor damage.
*makes mental note of who not to take advice off in future. :)

After doing a few in the Drone Regions and having no problem whatsoever soloing them in a Maelstrom I kinda got turned off by the fact that i wasn't getting better than ratting in belts. So after laying this off for a few weeks I decided to give it a shot again after a corpmate told me that he got a Drone Commander spawn that he got t2 salvage off from, so i take my Mael...scan a few systems and finally find one...warp...and i land in the middle of 4 Energy Neut towers, 5 or so warp scrambling frigates that insta lock me...and around 10 Drone Queen BS (which, if you all don't know are the ones that deal the most damage)... So, of course I couldn't shoot at the warp scrambling frigates because they were orbiting me at close range and I was using 1400mm arties, and of course my tank went dead really really fast because of the neutralizing towers and of course my ship got blown up. Seems I really wanted that T2 salvage
Anyways, I guess this applies to Cosmic Anomalies found in Sansha/Angel/Guristas/Serpentis space, difference being that commander spawns there probably drop juicy faction mods. |

lol. A corpmate has mentioned that the difficulty of these anomalies can be different.
I'm gonna give it another whirl last night and really hope that last nights anomaly was erm.... an anomaly :)

Careful, I have encountered warp scrambling frigs and drones. So you may want to scout the anomoly in a expendable ship if you are new to them.
