Ok in my zealot NPCing cosmic anolomies. I have been killing spawns with 8-9 BS with support with no difficulty but then I get another spawn.
3 blood raider BS, 4 elder blood raider cruisers.
Prety much instantly my cap hits 0. So heres what happens:
My damage drops down to 0 My armor rep turns off My hardeners turns off My afterburners turn off
People complained when NPC jammers jammed them up ocasionaly but its prety bull**** when they can 100% disable your ship nonstop.

There's nothing here that needs fixing except your pilot skills and general attitude. Instead of posting a whine onto the forums try working out which ships NOS you then take them out first. -- (Battle hardened industrialist)

Mwwaaahaahahahhahhaaahahhaaa aha ah aha ah ahahhahaha aha a a So Damn True
Also you might want to get some range (24km iirc) Also if your zealot can tank 8-9 BS's I think im gonna call for a nerf as thats a little overpowered.

1: Warp out 2: Warp in 3: Enable AB - and gtfo of nos range. 25-30km should do. 4: Switch to Scorch M, destroy nosers. 5: ????? 6: PROFIT!

Oh and how do I shoot when my cap is at 0? Maybe you should have read my post where it said I cannot shoot or tank ect before posting?
Yeah I did try scorch but my cap still gets sucked at that range. 8-9 BS are no problems to tank when you use our little friend called transversal (make sure webbing ships die very very fast)

I'm assuming you mean there is another gang member there then, if so have them fit a cap transfer and fit a cap booster yourself.

The Elder Blood cruisers have a NOS range and power like the Curse if I remember correctly.
Best option is to use beams which is generally not recommended without drones for scram frigs, one of the major drawbacks of the otherwise fun-as-hell Zealot.
I would say switch to beam Harbinger whenever you run into a spawn like that - not really many other options for the cruiser size capacitor of the Zealot.

So basically what we are saying here is that they nerfed the **** out of NOS for PVP... but left PVE NOS the way it was?
Does a NOS still drain a steady (but limited) amount of cap from the npc or does it only drain if they have a higher percentage?

I mean the NPC spawns support, as in there will be a few regualr frig/cruiser/battlecruiser NPC's aswell.
Seriously though any bloodraider BS spawn is easy to tank if you get in close and keep moving.

From what I was told the nos nerf did not affect PvE.

I've been NOSed at 45km+ by blood raiders, sometimes outdistancing them can be quite a problem when you can't run an AB or warp away. And they've got very powerful NOSes. I went from 67% to 0 in my drake in less than 5 seconds vs 3 HACs that spawned in a wave. Thankfully the drake doesn't need any cap to tank or use resists.

Linkage
In answer to what he posts, rather than just flamming the guy.... it's a dead serious problem if you happen to be alone and are using anything less than a capped up battleship.... aka a hac/commandship, as most would/do in low sec...
As the poster reports... if you get a spawn come up on top of you (aka cargo delivery lv4) your done.. instant cap drain.. targeting the ones first simpley isn't an option, there's nothing you can do in time, your a dead duck if you happen to be scrambled in a hac/cmd ship, or anything less.
Hell knowing this.. i even revisted the mission trying to take out the ships with a max capped/tanked domi... with a hammer ship taking out the battleships that were nosing it... result was downed domi still... the med/large reps could just keep up with the dmg 80% something resists.. but the cap still died.. transfers would have helped for sure... but running 2 mission ships with transfers is just lame... take you hours to do anything
Anyhow.. i support the op, i think it needs looking at for smaller ship classes... it's no less over cooked than player ships sucking you dry in one bounce

hey hey
The OP took the proverbial knife to a gun fight and lost. He should know better tbh. If your in a region where blood raiders soawn then you should be more than wary of the NOs factor and compensate accordingly.
the ship you choose to fly has a weakspot and nothing should be invulnerable. Again its not the NPC thats broke its the OP who didnt take the right precautions.
When Frigates got BBQ'ed by 1 torp people complained and CCP adjusted. Do we really need smaller ships to become the most powerfull ships in the game :?

This argument makes no sense in response to the OP. He's complaining about the NOS on blood raider ships being far better than anything a player could hope to achieve and asking if there's any way to counter it and you come out with torpedoes vs frigates? Besides that, this is vs NPCs, not players. The rules are completely different.
Honestly the only way to counter such NOSing is to warp out the second they spawn and if you don't get that use a cap booster and warp out then warp back in, hopefully gaining some range on them before they target and drain you again.

Had the same problem at a cosmos site that twit brent had. my only luck was that i wasn't scrambled... Originally by: Andrue Instead of posting a whine onto the forums try working out which ships NOS you then take them out first.
really easy job when they burn all your cap just after you warped in (well in my case only around 3k cap so i had a bit left)
Originally by: Lance Fighter 3: Enable AB - and gtfo of nos range. 25-30km should do.
you ever heard something about blood bs having around 40km nos range? and how should i ab out of nos range when i'm nossed instant after warp in? and maybe you even heard something about webbing frigs?
and now don't tell me something about cap injectors etc cause that isn't a solution when you want to farm an archaeology site

Tracking disrupters which blood raiders use also make it difficlut to keep range.

He's not kidding about this.
I was doing the same thing in my myrmidon and it was unbelievable how fast they wiped out my entire cap.
At 0.00s: arrive in belt At 5.00s: get targeted by rats At 5.75s: my capacitor is completely empty
I was able to warp out, get some range and beat the eventually, but don't you think this is a bit much? I mean my NOS domi was able to simply outleech them but still... ----------- Support fixing the EVE UI Drones should not aggro anything missiles or turrets do not. |

If they where NOS you are wrong Andrue. They should work exactly as PC NOS (from the patch notes on the NOS changes), so they should stop working as soon as he get undet the cap % available to the NOSsing ships.
