>"Blueprint Copy offers in the LP store are now better differentiated from Original Blueprints."
"BETTER"?! How can you differentiate something "better" when they were not differentiated at all!
>Systems I've visited function should now work properly.
"PROPERLY"?! Hasn't worked at ALL for the whole 13 months I've been playing Eve.
But anyway, thanks for all the fixes

19hrs 15minutes notice of a patch. Thanks alot guys.
I'm not one to complain about these usually, but that's pathetic notice, I either have to stay up to 1am and change a few skills, or leave it without training for quite a while...
Come on, TWENTY FOUR hours notice at least please, nothing like getting home from work to find an extended downtime that wasn't annonced until you were asleep the night before. We shouldn't have to check twice a day for these things. Even if you don't know what the patch is going to be or even how long, at least some notice that it's coming, in ADVANCE.

(much snipping)
While I, too, was caught unprepped for today's extended, I was even more caught unprepared by yesterday's multiple unintended downtimes.
Devs, if you need to have it down for two hours to fix things that have made the Aramachi mission running area run like hell for the last few days.. be my guest even if I do have to miss two ENTIRE hours ( ) from the last 2 years of training time.
Thanks

When will the patch be available for download? Just tried logging in and get the incompatible protocol message but no auto update, and patch isn't available on the patches download yet :(

"Starbases now respond to attack by drones/fighters."
Would love to know more info on this. Do starbase guns attack fighters/drones now? _______________________________ [ 2007.06.07 21:07:22 ] FrankyWave > ransom me guys I am joining XElas !!! |

Edited by: Malena on 11/09/2007 12:26:38 Thanks sooooo much for all the advance warning.....what, 20 hours? Costing me training and manufacturing time that I could have worked around with more notice.
Gonna cost me 8-10 hours of training time, since I will be at work by the time the server comes back up.

Edited by: MrTripps on 11/09/2007 12:31:15 The cloak-uncloak sound was also playing twice (like the ship pop sound). Scares the crap out of cloakers who think they have just been uncloaked.
And lay off the advance notice whines. You think they WANTED the game to go down? Jeez...

Does any training that was part way through get reset? or do you not just pick up from the point you were at when the server comes back to life?

It only affects people that have skills / industry jobs etc finishing during the extended downtime, who didn't know before the downtime started that it was going to be extended. If you know before you can make sure your skill is long enough etc... Of course, it's worse for those of us who don't just have to wait until the server is up, but until we wake up / get home from somewhere etc, instead of being able to do things BEFORE the downtime, or after the usual downtime.
I really don't think 24 hours is too much to ask, even that usually gets whines.

Thanks Nova.. dare say after playing for a while longer than 3 weeks I'll come to realise that too ;)

Also noticed that the autopatching did not work (didn't offer the option to download the patch on start up). Two machines in different physical locations. Manual patch download and application worked fine, however. -- Industrialist Carebear, CEO Illudium Space Products: Where's the KABOOM!? LP offers by corp at the LP Store DB |

It will delete the folders that they are originized into, but the actual buddies, notes, bookmarks, etc will still be there, just dumped into the top level folder.
You will also lose your overview settings and window placements.
You can save these setting by backing up the folder found in c:\documents and setting\username\local settings\application data\ccp\eve\settings
