The thing to remember when setting up for missons is you can free your mind fo the 'pvp' mindset. if you know what dmg type the baddies are gonna do, tank for that. Pile on the shield extenders or armor plates and fit as much dmg mods as you can. each mission, or string of missions usually require a little tweaking to the setup, but you wont have to worry about things like scrams or webs, and for the larger part damps and such. just fit to tank as much and deal as much dmg as it can. But again, if u know what type of dmg your going up against, it sure helps, cuz u can gear your tank to stop that certain type of dmg and it really helps.
as far a ships, try to get yourself a cruiser as soon as you can. they great for lower mission running and once you got some skills, you can even use them for some of the higher missions.
I used a caracal and drake for all my lvl 3 and 4 mission running and they have been fine.

Edited by: Thorke on 11/09/2007 18:49:49 No, but if you know the enemy's weapons do kenetic and thermal damage (for instance) you can use armor or shield hardeners tailored to those forms of damage, thus increasing your resistance to the enemy's damage.
