Whoever they were fighting didn't realise that the core of RZR are hardcore GNW Veterans, not your average "Yey we got a region!" Joes, and approached the whole thing in a "pew-pew, let's see what happens" way. And they didn't realise the drive and determination behind MM's warhorse. And TRI's love for sploding thingies.
Through the eyes of a by-stander, forum browser, non actively playinn, but with some years under the belt like me, it seems like TRI has:
a) Done some outstanding progress in the past year.
b) Got some kick-ass leaders, covering all game aspects... logistics, pvp, politics (yeah, you're gonna say you don't do politics, and I say bull****, everyone does that to some extent)
c) Stumbled over the holy bucket of luck.
d) Met all of the above.
Of course, for RZR and MM this comes naturally, because they just rock like that :)
I agree with many of the above points, yet I disagree with others. TRI have never relied on luck for what we have achieved, we made though-out moves from empire to NPC space, bode our time in Venal whilst building the alliance into what it is today, and then picked a region which suited our needs at an intelligent time.
At the same time, yes, we have played the politics game, but we've also formed bonds with those that we have fought against, and at times, alongside. It's the bond of mutual respect. We don't always agree with the moves Rzr/MM make, as I'm sure they do not agree with some of ours, but at the end of the day we like the way they fight and how they stand up for what they believe in.
This is a game, and we enjoy the way we play it. If it means being dis-respected for napping entities to get a fight we couldn't have got without them, then removing these naps for fun day to day PVP, then so be it.
Fatal, M.Pire, COW, and to some extent Fallen-souls, you just seemed to us like a good fight. When taking Deklein, we started out fighting your friends at the time, so it is just through natural progression we continue fighting you.
