Edited by: Lester Dean on 12/09/2007 15:42:18 On the nation commercials for It's Always Sunny In Philidalphea(FX), the ones where the gang is in a bar and talking, youll notice one of the younger men wearing a Gallente insignia t-shirt sold at the 2006 fanfest and now online. Anyone else noticed this?

Trailer and shirt.
Marketing says it's not the same shirt, though - the eagle on the shirt in the trailer has a crown and some sort of symbol under it, which the Gallente eagle doesn't have.
Pretty darn close, though!

Look at the lining around it. Similar shirt, but not the same shirt.

Different shirt, definitely very similar though. The eagle on a shield is a really popular emblem, has been for centuries. _________________ [SAK] Alumnus--And Proud Of It! -- aka Cpt Bogus Is that my torped sig cloaking your base?

Which doesn't really make any sense - it shouldn't be possible to trace your genealogical roots across 20,000 years and through at least one dark age to a country that you have had no way of knowing existed in the first place.

Yes, that stuff is to be taken with a pinch of salt.. Just like how the current earth racial gene pool would have long since vanished 20 millennia into the future.
Things like asian racial characteristics, black skin or blonde/red hair do not exist in the future of the human race.

And you say it shouldn't be possible because....
You have some previous 20,000 years of history, complete with digital and written records, to compare? I think not.

pfft, Gallente's racial insignia's too close in terms of RL insignias depicting a eagle + shield.
If someone wore an Amarr-insignia-ed shirt on TV, I'd stand up and notice! -

I wonder what happened to fleur-de-lis? Although it's a symbol of French monarchies; none of the French Rebublics used it and the future 'Frenchmen' most probably would not use it, too.
Additionally, there's another European country that features an eagle in its coat of arms
