Lo fellow eve addicts.
For the past 15 mins I have watched a Nyx piloted by Miz Cenuij, a -10 char, sit on a gate in Otou with smartbombs fitted melting shuttle after shuttle swiftly followed by pod after pod as new players and alt scouts jumped into this one man gatecamp from hell.
How can this be a feesable use for a 25bil ship, he's completly 100% safe (as dictors cant be used in empire) to sit there and kill noob after noob without any risk to his ship.
Now i'm the first to admit i've killed a noob or two in my time and no doubt i'll kill a few more during my career but this is just plain stupid.
This joker, "Miz Cenuij" is ranked 24 on Battleclinic.
I'm not sure which is worse, the fact that he bothered to post 791 shuttle mails, 577 Rokie ships and 2001 pod kill mails or the fact that he got them in a 25billion ship.
I would love to organise a cerimonial shove his ship up his own backside fleet by contacting every pilot he's posted as a kill on battleclinic but unfortunatly CCP you have given me no way of killing this ship in empire space.
As you havn't given us a way to kill a nyx in low sec space prehaps you could suggest how we deal with this arse hat ?

He's performing a valuable service, possibly at the behest of CCP.
Because of him, hundreds of new players now truly understand why one should check the map, and one should not assume that 0.4 is 80% as safe as 0.5.

Ok guys,
So how (assuming we could amass enough willing suicide participents), do we kill this ship in this situation ?
Is it even possible ?

Okay, first we get a girl. A not-very-picky one. Then we introduce her to Miz. She'll have to pump him for a bit of information. She'll pretend to be interested in Eve. She'll ask to watch him play. Then, when he's doing his Battlestar Miz thing, she'll distract him!!!
And then, my comrades, we STRIKE!

You need speed BS, nanophoons or the like, Nos/neutBS, and dreads/carriers to take it out.
Bump it to keep it out of alignment and nos/neut it to keep it from jumping. Pew pew with dreads to pop it. And profit. It is possible, but requires lots and lots of skill, coordination and patience... ___ P.S. Post with your main. Mind control and tin hats |

If there are that many noobs, couldnt you stick a scout in every system he could possibly cyno to? Find out what his bolthole is, who his cyno alts are etc. Maybe use 1/3rd a gang to convince him he needs to cyno, then the rest of the gang waiting at the beacon.
Or something, I dunno squat about this =(

IIRC he stole that ship from one of his former corporations
But somehow I see the irony of this guy just sitting at a gate with his smartbombs on... feels like the I.WIN UberPwnmobile cheat in an episode of batman

That's a tad bit o' lame. Eve isn't supposed to be safe or friendly, no matter how long you've been playing. Lowsec PvPer's/Griefers/Pirates like to say that it was harder when they started, but they forget that when they started nobody knew what they were doing, and cruisers were the biggest ship you could have. Now the rift between the oldest and the newest, and the largest and the smallest is much greater. If a new player spent a whole year focusing solely on killing a mothership in lowsec, he would not be able to do it. It's impossible. That makes the game a little less appealing, and as time goes on, if things stay the way they are, there will be no new players, because their entire time will be spent doing the most boring things in the game.
There was a time when a player could cruise in 0.0 in a cruiser, and not have much to worry about because there were only 5k players, and none of them had significantly more skills than a newer player. Now, empire is filled with suicide alts, NPC corps are not nearly as chatty as when i began, it's unheard of to get help on a mission because of the new gang-can-flag-warp-gank move. Someone says "Hi" in local, and is met with "STFU n00b" and the game is unwelcoming. At least let them get a battleship so then when they are ready to quit, "u can have their stuff".
People are scared to take risks. The game is full of "kitties". The gold magnate was destroyed. If there was one given out today, it would sit in a station and rust, like all the other unique ships that are still intact. People forgot what was fun, and have gravitated toward getting more isk. How many people wish that CONCORD worked like it did before m0o changed the game? Only the people who scare players away. I'm all for ganking n00bs, but I'm against griefing newbs.

agreed 100%. I think adding a MASS of new regions would help things a little: having thousands of new systems would enable small corps and new players to head into the void and actually start something without a 50dread gankfleet warping on their ass to nuke everything in sight. ----------------------------------------------- "post with your main. delete your alt, you sad little exploiting metagamer."

I think the OP is not complaining about being killed or whatever, he is complaining that if the MS was in 0.0 he could at least have a perception of taking it down, but since the MS is in lowsec, it is invincible since it can cyno out anytime danger arrives.
So it is a invincible solo pwn mobile. It costs a ton of isk yes, but the OP does not deny this - the OP wants a way to fight the MS. That was what his point was.
I guess if you say that MS's in low sec should stay the same, you should also agree that MS's in 0.0 should follow suit?

Noob here. I'm pretty sure I ran into him yesterday. Big ship, blinking red, I just warped away as soon as I saw it since it smelled like trouble. Then I visited 30-40 low sec systems trying to pick a fight where I had at least a minimal chance to survive (I build a frigate every day and try to get it blown up to get some pvp experience) with absolutely no luck.

I think the op agree that low sec shod not be safe but as op say the ganker is in nyx how can noobs even stop a nyx even corp whit high sp have trouble to take down a nyx in high sec. The op say we want revenge but ew immunity do hard for noobs to take it down.
And how much skill do need use to turn on a smartbomb?

Miz is a old timer and im sure he is just laming in empire because he is fustrated (like everyone else) that fleet warfare is broken with unplayble lag.

I used to think motherships and titans were always stuck to 0.0, infact I thought I read it soemwhere about them being stuck in 0.0 only.
When I learned they could both enter low sec, well... :/ You can imagine my thoughts, yeah that's awesome, I guess... but the soon realized the massive problems that was going to cause... ugh... Then maybe a few months later I learn there's unkillable supercaps in low sec killing a buncha ships. *shakes head*
They're built in 0.0, so there's no need to even have them in low sec to begin with, sure it hinders movement, instead of jumping it somewhat clearly across the map, it now must make a round trip of empire.
Yes, the ship costs a lot, yes it takes a lot of time to build, takes a bit longer to train for than the normal carrier(only carrier 3 over 1 iirc). Te be honest I feel a supercap in lowsec is just a giant imbalanced mess waiting(already has actually) to happen. I personally think they should be 0.0 only, as I swore I read somewhere that titans(notsure on motherships but they could be included aswell) weren't allowed in 0.1+ because the empires felt it was a threat of war, something along those lines.
