Episode 13 is different in a few ways. First of all, it's in Loxyvision again - Xyliana is not well, so we wish her a speedy recovery. Feel free to send her ISK ingame, it'll help.
Also, there's only two streams using the Jalipo player - 250k and 500k. The 1000k file died during production, and had to be re-done, meaning it won't be ready in time for the upload. Should be with us all after the weekend at the very latest.
Also, keep an eye out on the News area of the EVE site, as Zapatero is about to write something pretty interesting that concerns all EVE TV viewers. It's been a while coming, but I'm sure you'll appreciate it.
Bear in mind that Xyliana is unwell, I'm in Liverpool (someone has to go to these player meets and represent the team), Zapatero is finishing up some magazine, and Loxy is away, reportedly getting married. So while we are watching the forums, you may not get the standard speedy gold-bar response. But remember we love you, and it'll all be fine.
As for what's in the show:
* XxXxXXxXxxxXAngelxX is back with us, stepping into the shoes of the Expert role.
* Benilopax (Sadly, no X's) joins us after almost a month, to bring us his business report
* We profile the Thorax
* As well as news, competition, and Broadway Musicals.
Enjoy. _

Hi,
what are the reasons it is paid for?
a) solely because of streaming it to the web b) solely because of costs of operation d) a+b
none of the above?
If it's a) i think many of us would be keen on donating some bandwidth to at the very least host the the previous episodes, even for flv streaming (youtube like) like it is now. Would also like to hear how much bandwidth it is, or "bytes" out.
Thanks

Yay, new player :] (same was used on PVP tournament matches). Free episodes - good idea. Better and "preload-on-pause"-capable player - brilliant.
Jalipo player drove me crazy constantly giving "stream error" (250K stream on 1Mbps connection) while watching and ALWAYS when I needed to pause watching for few minutes.

Edited by: Ishina Fel on 22/09/2007 11:39:34 Stevie needs to sing an EVE theme song
One thing I missed about this week's episode, by the way, was a fullscreen option for the player, as the pay per view one has. I have a half meter wide TFT at 1650x1080 and used to kick back in my chair and watch the 1000k stream episodes much like real TV shows... now I had to sit much closer to see anything, because that player barely covered a fifth of my screen!
Fullscreen button please!

:( boo to Angel's tech 2 snobery (is that a word?) us noobs need love too... Much cheaper to loose a tech 1 ship and you can generally field them in larger numbers too. From my limited pvp experience (which is in lowsec rather then 0.0) numbers seem to win against expensive ships, I've seen Battleships and commandships go down under wait of fire from tech 1 cruisers and frigs a bunch of times seems as long as you get them neutrilized and your faster then them they drop kind of fast. That said I wouldn't be keen on facing a carrier in a cruiser :(, which seems to be what 0.0 fights are all about.
Anyway nice episode and thanks for making it free.

Get well soon Xyliana.
It's a most impressive show this go around. The "outtake" singing at the end... Definitely helped the credits fly by.

No offence to Electric Fox, but why are you telling us about the thorax as though it's a bed-time story?
"The Star Fraction then did the unthinkable! *flicks page* They beat the evil Band of Brothers with a team of 10 thoraxes. So, Timmy, it just goes to show you that everyone can be beaten with enough thoraxes. The End."
I mean c'mon, speed up a bit. ---
