Basically I want to no how coupling arrays work. Do you need 1 to connect a structure to another structure or does 1 array handle multiple connections.
I want to connect 2 harvesters to a reactor and silo. Are 4 coupling arrays needed and can this setup work?

Just figured out a potential setup. Would this work?

You don't need coupling arrays. You can hook harvesters / silos directly to eachother or to/from reactors.

Coup Arrays are no needed. They are only usefull to not lose the output of a moon when you have to offline the Silos to empty them (Which happens every so often)
Still, like 95% of the times, you do not lose the output when you offline the structure and online it inmediately afterwards. Just be fast to empty the silos and you`ll be fine.
Do what the above poster said. Connect the Silo directly to the Harvester.

Thanks for advice. Got another question: is 2 types of metals per moon possible in <= .3 sec?

A related question,
In a silo -> reactor -> silo setup: Does that mean I just have to quickly offline the silo, empty/fill it with materials and online it without hitting the reactor cycle that hits every hour? If that's true than the couplings are less essential than I thought. Or does the reactor suck materials more often?
Cheers, Kurald Galain.

The entire moon mining/reactor chain thing only happens 1 time per hour.

Do you have to use a silo inbetween the harvestesr and the reactor, or can you go from just the harvesters to the reactor? Is it possible to use a coupling array instead of a silo, if necessary?

Hmm... let¦s see:
1) You can connect the Moon Harvester directly to the Reactor. In fact, this is advisable... 2) You can connect a Coupling Array between the Harvester and the Reactor. Sure, but you can do "1)" instead, so... 3) You can connect a Silo between a Harvester and a Reactor, but then... what would be the point of this? You can do "1)" or "2) instead of this, and it¦s much more efficint (and CPU cost effective)... +-+-+-+-+ Booya! It¦s red! Run from the red! "Rikeka is Moon Mining, Moon Mining is Rikeka" |
