After getting thrashed about a month ago for a rather silly setup on my thorax, I've done a lot more playing around and experimenting.
So, i present the following as my ratter/mis myr:
N-Type Thermic Hardener I N-Type Kinetic Hardener I Medium Armor Repairer I Damage Control I Capacitor Power Relay I Tracking Enhancer I
Cap Recharger I 10MN Afterburner I Remote Sensor Dampener I F-90 Positional Sensor Subroutines Tracking Computer I
250mm Compressed Coil Gun I 250mm Compressed Coil Gun I 250mm Compressed Coil Gun I 250mm Compressed Coil Gun I 250mm Compressed Coil Gun I Drone Link Augmentor I
4 Berserkers 1 Predator (to drop shields)
Everything turned on except the armor repairer, it sustains forever. If i have the repairer on, i have 4 minutes cap. My effective HP is 28,737.
My rails can reach out and touch at 63 KM, and I can lock out to 105 km.

For a mission I would but a Explosive hardener, 2 EANM's, DC, MAR, CPR in the lows. 2 CR, webber, and a tracking computer in the mids and 6 heavy neutron blasters.

You can use the rail setup if you want to range tank and keep your mids and highs but i really recommend an explosive hardener and 2 EANM's unless you want to harden tank to specific missions

you would do missions with blasters instead of rails? I find that having rails, I can keep well far away from the rats as I plink em to death, plus my drones can reach as far as my railguns with the dr.

Mids. 1x AB II 4x Cap recharger II
lows.
2x Therm hardner II 2x Kin hardner II 2x Medium Armro Repper II
Rigs: 1-3x CCC rigs as needed to perma run everything 0-2x Armor rep rigs to increase tank.
Drones: 5x Ogre II's
Should be able to run most level 4's in this.

And keep in mind, depending on what you are missioning against, you are gonna be fitting different hardeners. However, as the above poster noted, your mids should be all cap rechargers. He put 1 AB in there...I would recommend going pure cap rechargers. Either way, you dont need all that crap in the mids and the lows should be strictly tank if you want to do lvl 4s, otherwise, keep a dmg mod in.

Blasters without AB? You'll use them about 1/5th as often as you can keep rails going. Blasters with AB? You'll use them about 1/4th as often as you can keep rails going.
Or use Arties, should you be tight on cap. Or light Rails/AC, if you carry heavy drones only.
T2 med drones take a very short time to train, T2 heavies take a long time. If you can't use T2 heavies, use T2 mediums and lights for Lvl 3 missions.
If you can use hardeners, you can use T2 DCU, do so.
What are you going to use RSD on? Can you really spare that slot? 4 minutes of MAR action on a 2 hard + dcu tank isn't much. If you're only using one MAR, I'd make sure I can permatank it, without using guns at least.

If you can't use T2, you're going to be slaughtered in L4s.
Anyways, the Myrmidon fit of choice for me for L4s (not that I can fit it yet)
6x 720mm Scout/T2 arties, fitting dependent. May have to drop to 650s, since I'm too lazy to check if 6 720s will fit. 5x Cap Recharger II 2x MAR II 4x T2 mission-specific hardeners 4x T2 heavy mission-specific drones 5x T2 light mission-specific drones 1-2 CCCs (as many as you need to perma-run the setup) 1-2 Auxilliary Nano Pumps.
Can get this setup to tank over 400 DPS no problem, the 720mm arties (remember the Myrm has no hybrids bonus) and 4 heavy drones should ***** most battleships, and the 5 lights can mop up interceptors.
Why is ***** censored? Sure, it may be the nickname of a drug, but some people mean it like "***** a nut" or "***** a tank". ------------------------------ One more soldier off to war... And one Velator in my hangars. |

I got gatecamped yesterday in .4 space, and saw my myr turn from a ship to slag in lieraly 5 seconds.

So I got a new one and managed to get the skills needed for most of this stuff.
2 n-type Kin 2 n-type Therm 2 MAR 1's (working on skills for II's, will have in a few days)
5 Cap recharg II's.
5 blasters, and a scavenger.
5 ogre's.
2 CCCs. At 20 mil a pop that was DAMN expensive
Tried it out, and HOLY CRAP do i take a lot of punishment without breaking a sweat. Even with about 20 rats pounding me (My shields fell fairly fast) I could keep up with it. Never ran out of cap either, which is very nice.
Not a bad setup at all for ratting. PVP i thik will be another story, since the ship is slow as hell.
I probably will pull out the blasters and put rails instead, but i can only fit 4 of them due to power issues.

You might want to go with 1 civ laser and a 1/2 / 1/2 split between salvagers and tractor beams once you get your drone skills up. That or you will need a salvage ship to come back to the mission with.

Why would i want the civ laser?
AFA the TB/Sal's I can see why, since it takes me FOREVER to salvage after a good battle. i get a salvage usualy on every 3rd or 4th try, and flying to each unit takes a long time, since my top speed is 180.

Because the Myrmidon's primary weapon is its drone bay, and you need a gun, any gun, to aggro, and civvy blasters use 0 ammo. ------------------------------ One more soldier off to war... And one Velator in my hangars. |
