setup an IPO, do a runner. justify the market discussion forum's mild paranoia to clear the air
imo, to make 500mill you'll already need a few 100mill starting capital, takes money to make money etc... so what starting point are you setting off from? zero ISK? _____________________________________ today i am this cool: [uncool]================[*]====[cool]

Short of scamming people for it, sounds like you're stuffed if you've only got a velator.
If you had a ratting ship and access to 0.0 you could probably make 500mill in a week. If you had a hulk or a covetor you could make 500 mill in a week. You could make 500mill in a week doing missions as well. ------------

The only logical thing I could think of is work your ass off. There's not an easy way to get that much money in that amount of time or else everyone would be rich.

Edited by: Sheriff Jones on 26/09/2007 02:22:18 Get to it really.
Only advice one could give.
Get to work.
Like i told someone who said it's impossible to get cash as a new player, well, with 1, just 1, mining laser(basic), 10 hours a day, mining veldspar*, in two weeks you can make a 150mil(including hauling it from belt to station etc.)
*(no chribba i'm not planning on taking you on)
Mining plagio? Probably can make a good, 600?
Use two lasers and some skills, and you're there.
Use 4 lasers and you only need one week to make that 500 in 4h/day.

NEwy........
If you want to earn so much so fast - you want to buy gtc's so you can keep playing, but you can't afford real world cash because youre broke because............. a. you're parents won't give you 15 bucks a month to pay for playing a video game (good for them)
or
b. you're an adult and can't afford to pay 15/mo for playing a video game b/c you can't budget or can't hold a job because you spend too much ******* time playing ******* video games.
I'll give the benefit of the doubt for you and assume situation A. is the culprit here. In which case:
A. make way to your nearest mcdonalds or other speedy fine dining establishment. your mode of transport is not important (chances are walking is the one to place a bet on here), nor even is bathing before departure. Do however, remeber to bring a pen...it will make an impression, trust me.
Upon entering said establishment ask the first employee you encounter for a piece of paper called an "application". Once you recieve this, write down your name, phone number, and adress. Upon doing this you will have a 99% chance of obtaining the opportunity to excahnge some of your time for a (totally ******* lame) reasonable amount of money.
Money is something often assumed to be a fixed value, and is used as an intermediate tool in 'bartering', the act of trading one thing for another. Thankfully for you, the nice people at CCP are willing to 'barter' game time codes for their spec - ******* - takular game "eve-online", for your money........which you barted for your time at "lamo-pay my first job - tasty burgers" (don't worry we've all been there.....well, some of us).
Viola!!!! You have you're gtc's so you can hang out w/ all the awesome people (who totally love you, honest) in eve-o.
Now, just to cover my bases in case my assumption about this being 'scenario A' was incorrect. Two things you can do:
Stop smoking ***** (<-hence lack of money in the instance you had any to begin with)
or
Stop playing games long enough to get a damn job (<-hence lack of $$ in the instance you didn't have any to begin wi..........um, eh you know what i mean.) - Refer to solution to 'Situation A'.
I hope that i could be of some help & good luck in your quest for ..........um, ......eve sschtuff.
ciao

Only reason for not having a job is because you play too much or smoke some sort of narcotic. Only reason otherwise not having money is to be still at home.
Yes, that's how the world works *nods agreeingly*
Now, let me just take this rainbow colored pill, hop on to my magical spaceship and fly to Jupiter for a party with the three mushrooms named Jinjinjimine, Zzz'grrirl and Bob.

Here's what you do. But the fact remains Luck > Skill
Grab yourself the a fast frigate. Set it up with a small tank and a nano. Head out into low sec. Hunt ever roid belt in every system you can until you find a faction spawn/hauler spawn and pray you get a really good drop, maybe a sweet MLU from a hauler spawn or a really REALLY nice implant from a faction spawn. Then, Repeat.
Good Luck.

If you can fly a Drake, a Myrm, Domi, Raven, Phoon or a Apoc then just grind lvl 4 missions. You can easily make that with some experience but it's pretty boring.

---------------------------------------------------------
Finding jobs isn't always so easy as walking into a MacD, and money sometimes isn't a luxury, so people use other means to play the game they like. One shouldn't assume, that just because someone wants to pay by ISK, or doesn't have the aiblity to pay for a game, that they are some sort of a social bum.

Sometimes it amazes me how sanctimoniuos and self-righteous certain members of eve's community can be
Edit to add: lvl 4 missions, mining omber/whatever, 0.0 ratting, lucky hisec suicide gank.... Or if you are in a player corp, a loan from one of your corpies maybe?
