Thanks!

Quite sure eve supports higher. i've seen triple monitor setups of over 3000+x1280 __________________

He's not saying that directly, is he?
Having said that, that's a mighty fine damn size of a monitor you've got there.

Dell 30" can support up to 2560 x 1600.
Having used for 2weeks, IMO its abit of an overkill and for other games you really need a SLI setup, playing at those kinda res.
I use the Dell 24" WFP @ 1920x1200 with a Nvidia 8800GTX and I'm completely happy with it.

3x cheap 22" HD format LCDs work marvelous, even without bridging my vid cards (2x 720m 8800GTS). OFC, I really don't understand at all what advantage there was to spanning one client across all three monitors. Being able to run anywhere from 3 to 6 clients simultaneously without them burying each other is marvelous.

Yep, running the same on two of the dell 30's, stretches to 5120x1600 with no problems when it's fullscreened.

I have used a 30" screen for the past year on an 8800GTX card.
I can honestly say that eve takes on a completely different feel when you have that much more space. The game is better, looks awesome, you have room to see your space & the information windows don't clutter your view.
Makes my 20" screens which I use alts on look small in comparison
2560x1920 is amazing to play at...you'll NEVER regret it. The only problem will be is when you need to get a new monitor sometime in the distant future, you'll never be satisfied with anything smaller than 30". Anything less seems just too small.

That screen is most likely the best thing out there for Eve and of course 2560*1600 works like a charm. Tried it myself and its silly how much you can fit on the screen. Doing market and stuff is just ... nice :)

Hi,
I use a Dell 30' at 2560x1600, with 2 x GeForce 7900GTX SLI cards.
The only thing I notice, is that planets get 'streched' when they are on the left or right side of the screen, and look egg like.
Anyone know how to 'compensate/correct' for that?
Rob.

As long as its 1024 or wider and 700 or so or higher, as far as I can tell.
Examples: 1280*1600 2560*800

Pretty sure you cant. Thats the miniscule price you have to pay for that resolution. :)

Pretty sure that's the design. A bit of a fishbowl effect so you can see a bit more.

remember that you need a graphics card with "dual link" DVI connector to be able to use 2560x1600 res. You also need a cable that's "dual link". Do not confuse "dual link" to "dual display" i.e. 2x "single link" DVI connectors that were the norm not that long ago. -------------------------------------------------

yes it supports 2560x1600 an it looks amazing. I just sold my 3007wfp-hc since I couldn't use my xbox 360 on it (got the 2707wfp as a replacement).
