While skills training takes so long time to do, I was thinking of maybe presenting new attributes boosters; which a pilot can take and boost the related attribute to a limited duration.
Pilot can only boost one attribute by certain amount each time, e.g. there 10%, 20%, 30%, etc.. attribute booster; for every single attribute.
When using a certain attribute booster, a pilot gets a penalty e.g. implants not functioning while attributes boosting, or detirioration of a pilot's skills until the booster duration is over.

Did You even try to install implants? Did You saw "abort skill before installing implant" message? Did You think about it before suggesting this change?
No, You aren't. -- Thanks CCP for cu<end of sig> |

Attribute boosters are already hidden in the database, and are likely what Oveur means by the new "lowsec" boosters due out in Revelations 3. However, my word is not law -- I'm waiting for more information from the devs on this, myself.

am sure that every player newbie or experienced old players will benefit from attributes boosters, it takes 25 year to develop all skills to lvl 5 according to EVEmon..!!

Well, I'll explain. EVE isn't that stupid to count each Your SP in realtime. Each time You start skill training, she do a simple calculation and save skill start SP, start time and end time to database. All expected "SP count" is only client-side animation, nothing else. Only one case of a sudden skill training time change is Your POD destruction, but again, EVE just do a simple calculation, count Your expected SP and correcting database record with new values of start SP/time/end time.
With Your proposal, You suggest to do training time checks much more often. Aren't there enough lags already? -- Thanks CCP for cu<end of sig> |

Edited by: DrDooma on 03/10/2007 00:11:18 This could work only if skill training stops when booster runs out even if you have not finished learning the skill.
Skill boosters are a good idea.
