yay its working. but... can someone tell me the point of the test server is if a) im stuck where i was a month ago in a dead end 0.4 system and b) theres no-one else on something doesnt seem right :S
isnt it supposed to be like everything is super cheap and available in every station and only a few systems so you can try out stuff before spending heaps on it etc. atleast thats the impression i got from what ive been told about it.

I've done it!
Here's a Mini Guide:
1: Copy you're main Eve folder from Program Files. 2: Create a folder on you're designated drive called "Sisi" 3: Paste you're copied Eve folder into the "Sisi" folder. 4: DON'T DOWNLOAD THE PATCH. 5: Go into you're copied Eve folder, and select the "Eve" icon. 6: Right click, send to desktop. 7: Right click the Eve - shortcut icon on the desktop. 8: Go to "Properties" 9: In the "Target" box, Paste " /server:87.237.38.50" Without the ""'s and include the space. 10: Close the window, double click the Icon, and PLAY!.
Hope this helps some people. I know it took me AGES to figure it out :)

Nope, that patch doesnt work.
This is what I'm doing
Selecting 'Eve Patches' from the left menu, then 'Singularity' then 'Window Premium', which takes me to this page.
http://www.eve-online.com/patches/patches.asp?s=singularity&system=win&edition=premium
Now clicking on the 'Download TQ to Singularity Patch' link gives me a 404 error
Or...Selecting the only version in the drop down box '56866' gives me a download, but when I run it it says its for a different version, even though I'm patching from the main game version.
Any more clues???
Thanks.

Wow, thanks so much for doing this! I followed your instructions and now have test server access. This is a HUGE help!!!
CCP, you should clean up this thread and put these good instructions as the first post. |

Could not connect to the specified address. Odds are that you have not established an internet connection, the server isn't running, or the server address or port number was wrong.

Hmmm...
Im still unable to connect to SiSi since Emp went live on TQ. I have the right target in my SiSi shortcut....ive downloaded all patches only to be told they are already in effect on SiSi, yet I still get get an Incompatible Release/Status Unknown error every time ive tried to connect.
Got a fresh install and tried again and still get the same results.Any ideas?
Also, the patches on the server info page apparently dont exist anymore..keeps giving a 404 error.

Guys eh. I believe there isnt a new build for SiSi yet so just create a shortcut and add
" /server:87.237.38.50" without the " and include the space.
It appears to work for me, 40 online...

OK i used my eyes and solved the problem. Previous way of making a Singularity client is outdated.
Copy your Tranquility folder and just change the shortcut to have /server:87.237.38.50 at the end. Just like Venetiyan'Hel said :D

Having problems logging with this character.
It gets stuck on "checking navigation systems", i have reset my cache/settings and everything with no avail, maybe someone could have a look into this?
I have tried logging with another character, and that one worked perfectly fine.
My character is located in FD-MLJ.
Thanks in advance. EntroX

Well I have the eve showing Singularity, but saying it's incompatible due to release. I'm using the classic version if that means something.

I still get the message that my account is expired, but i reactivated it more then one month ago, so question is: how long to update the test-server to the actual condition of the account (like passwords, activation aso) ?

I am in the same boat. I just made a new copy of the eve folder, made a new shortcut, added the server info to the target. It conncts to singularity but give the incomptible release error. I also am using the classic version.

I still can't connect. Tried patching from both sites, got 404 errors from both. Target line is correct, checked it like 30 times, and get server status unknown. Even tried downloading a fresh client, changing the target line and connecting, no good. I can load the start screen on both the copied client and the fresh install, but all i get is server status unknown. Tried patching to the new downloaded client too, and nope. I cant think of anything else to try. I have 2 computers here both unable to connect.
Oh, and I have not been able to connect to Test AT ALL since the Emp patch. I dont get incompatability errors, it just wont connect, and I can't patch. Every "solution" on this whole thread has been tried and has failed, multiple times. Someone help! :)

According to http://games.chruker.dk/eve_online/server_status.php The current version for Sisi is 59180 while the live server is version 58188. So now when I simply use a new shortcut and edit the target field to go to the sisi server I get "incompatible release".
According to the above site 28ppls were logged in . Any1 have ideas?
