Unreal 3 system requirements
OK, not to bad. Although I am pretty sure even on the recommended it's gonna run at 20 fps if your lucky.
Needless to say a duo-core and a 8800/1950 would be the real world preffered videocards to get good frame rates with good quality settings.
But check out this screenshot and tell me you don't need a high powered machine to render this lol: Mean looking mofo

Originally by: lofty29 Wow, lower than I expected.
Crysis is still uberhigh though
Oh yeah, to me Crysis is the game to set benchmarks by, I am looking forward to that game more than any else. FarCry was a great freaking game, ran super smooth on my POS computer back in the day and the outside environments were absolutely stunning. And I know with Crysis that it's going to look even better.
btw lofty.....DON'T YOU EVER SLEEP!!!!! JEESH!

Crap, sorry for link. Check the article out, it has the full size pic
And if you can run BioShock, you should be able to play this with no problems. BioShock is based on the Unreal 3 engine so all should be well.

Well I have seen the gameplay videos of Crysis and I would LOVE to know what system they had it running on, that way I can set a goal for the next computer setup I need to buy. I plan on building a new computer in a few weeks and I plan on going with duo-core Intel (cpu somewhere in the $200 range no more) and probably a 8600 (around $170 or so) plus a new mobo+memory.
I wanted to go with a 8800 but I know that even that won't handle game like Crysis very well and I want something that I won't need to upgrade for 2 years or so. So I might go ahead and spend a bit more on a cpu and get the 8600 to tide me over until I find a card that will play Crysis/BioShock/EVE direct X 10 after this year.
