What effects the number of RP points you get from an R&D agent each day ?
I have a corpmate that uses the same R&D agents as me yet he's getting 60RP per day and I get 40RP a day.
Do any skills boost the RP they give you ?

Yep, if you for instance are researching Caldari Starship engineering with your agent you will receive a bonus to the number of RPs you get. Also training up the relevant skill (in my example caldari starship eng.) will mean you get more RPs. -- eve-guides.com Includes all about POSs, outposts, tech II production, item database and much much more. |

None of the connections books list a bonus to R&D agents.

The one called 'Connections' increases your standing with the R&D corp, which increases your agents' effective quality, which means you get more rp from them. None of the other connections skillbooks have any effect iirc. My research services Spreadsheets: Top speed calculation - Halo Implant stats |

Just because I'm picky, I feel I should point out that "RP points" is a tautology. This is bad. --------------------------------------------------------------------

Edited by: Aykido on 08/10/2007 11:25:09 The Formula is simple.
(level of skill+level of agent)^2 adjusted by effective quality of the agent as a percentage modifier. with level 5 skill and level 4 agent that is a max of 81 RPs/day base. (with level 1 skill and level 1 agent that is a min of 4 RPs/day base.)
Negotiations increase effective quality by 5 per level to a max of 25 at level 5. Connections (or Diplomacy if you have negative standing with the corps faction) increase effective quality by one at level 3 and by 2 at level 5.
So Effective quality = agent quality modified by skills (max 27) So if your agent is level 4 quality 18 and you have maxed your skills you can have a +45% modifier to the base RPs/day.
In addition there are implants that will increase agent quality. These come in +1, +3 and +5 varieties I think.
So technically The best R&D agent can give 121,5 RPs per day. And you can double that by doing the daily mission.
A maxed out active RP collector can gross close to 1400 RPs per day with 6 R6D agents...
Weapon tech science skills have a field modifier of 2 Starship tech science skills have a field modifier of 3
Field modifier is a multiplier to both RPs collected and the RP cost of each datacore.
