I'm gonna say, CFC is caste based.
Your caste is determined by how much you contribute. You work and bust ass, and you get rewards. Even more, from what I have seen, it seems to reward based on proportional contribution, which allows smaller entities like SMA to gain space and resources to grow, if the people they have work as hard as those in bigger alliances.
So a contract set up to allow the renter to be abused, or a place in a culture that encourages people to contribute to the whole, so that when the whole gains more, they get a bigger piece?
Sure, CFC is a commie utopia, but in terms of eve, it works. o/`-á Lord, I want to be a gynecologist.. KY, rubber gloves, and a flashlight.-á o/` |

If CFC has a issue of things keeping it going, then what of it's rivals who's existence seems to bound together primary by hating blobs and corrupt collations and being pretty much a collection of one themselves.
At one point, the anti blue alliance (all the alliances snot listed) were blue with each other and the drone Russian federation literally more then half of all conquerable space. Was that for altruistic reasons of sharing power with the rest of eve residents, having people who primary only let in a few for the owning alliance and offer to the rest renting.
I am sure that was all for gud fights, and not holding tech moons right? SSsssssuuuuuuuuuurrreeeeee you just keep believing in that.
And yes looking at the list of moons held by who, people who contribute to it get a share of resources, its not pets its actual allies. In the old NC, and the present white noise you got a big entity who has no ability to muster fleets for some reason with no basis on their own merit holding space and tech moons.
Consider the motivation of the smallest entity's who are part of the CFC, now compare that that with the many people who rent from the anti-CFC BOB 3 and friends. A alliance of free people, contrasting with caste based society where a few hold the resources and the rest are in serfdom working in salt and dust mines to pay rent to overlords who hold the most valuable space and moons themselves. From what I can tell the CFC is still a GÇ£caste based societyGÇ¥ since the resources which the flock holds are not distributed evenly. Furthermore, how space has been doled out clearly shows what Alliances are considered **** and therefore given the worst space available compared to others in the herd. Goons stuck the weakest members of the Flock next to one of the best pvp Alliances in the game (Raiden) thatGÇÖs going to farm them for as long as they live in the North. Why wouldnGÇÖt GoonFed take Branch and allow the weak Alliances to enjoy the well-insulated space of Deklien and Pure Blind? IGÇÖm just trying to get some shape to how this non caste based system works since from the outside it looks like a GÇ£pyramid schemeGÇ¥. IGÇÖm not saying that none of these week Alliances in the flock deserve space, since there is more than enough 0.0 space to go around in EVE. IGÇÖm just saying that they donGÇÖt have a choice as to what space they get whereas the GÇ£rentersGÇ¥ who work with the other 0.0 Alliances enjoy the benefits of the space they negotiate on terms they are happy with or they simply donGÇÖt rent. While on the other hand the members of the flock are told to shoot structures, blue ball opposition, and run to the forums to cry about game mechanics that have not been watered down to favor them yet. I suppose itGÇÖs no coincidence that this post comes from you seeing what your Alliance logo isGǪ .
Space and moons are not distributed evenly comparing different alliances because different alliances have different power levels. Test and goons are the first and third most populous alliances in the game with 7500 and 5000 members. Fielding much more and having ship replacement programs for increased people means need more isk. Staggering quantities of people mean they get the majority of large regions of space. Ten times the people, ten times the space, its not like they get fabulously more for a few people, where each member of larger alliances gets a solar system to themselves. Considering that they just hold one region being so numerous, crowding would be a epidemic on the level of the Indian subcontinent if they all stayed home and farmed, and don't regularly go out and ruin other peoples game.
As to why people get certain regions, its because of long standing ties to said region, goons have had deklin spanning before CFC existed and the NC was a immortal entity of the north, why would they uproot themselves from sacred land. Smaller alliances (or re-establishing ones) while smaller are, supposed to be self sufficient to a degree and able to be part of wars in own back yard which all of us have faced at times, they are not pets that pay rent to be shielded from space wars. The whole basis of membership and compensation with moons and space is based on participation in the space wars. If you want to be in CFC and get space, you have to take it from someone else, fight, kill and die for it, cull weak from strong, have oceans of blood, spaceship wreaks of your people and your enemies must number the stars.

So while everyone else is shuffling sov and space Goons wonGÇÖt adjust to help better protect good standing members of the flock? Or is it that they want to smaller sheep to stand on the outside of the circle taking all the risk each time they log in to rat, mine, build, trade etc. Remember, goons only have Deklein because TCF decided they were going to disband and simply handed the space over. Goons did not have to fire a single shot for the region so spare us any GÇ£blood, sweat, and tearsGÇ¥ crap....
Short answer is Goons want the thickest meat shield set up between them and Tenal/Tribute for when RDN/NC./PL/Ev0ke and others decide that they better use their Supers to push Goons **** in before your CSM control gets CCP to nerf them down to the point where your one trick GÇ£AlphaGÇ¥ sheep will be the only thing that decides who wins fleet fights...
Who gets what space/moons based on participation on the field of battleGǪGǪGǪdonGÇÖt you mean who shows up the most for your boring fleets to grind sov of a dying alliance? Not trying to beat a dead sheep here but the CFC didnGÇÖt do much fighting for Branch and, when you have to, you have been getting your face ****** every time by much smaller fleets. So with that said, is it what Alliances die the least in the CFC flock gets the most moons/space?...
Seems to me that your theory of who in your herd is most deserving of moons/space still end up being goon pets who pay a form of GÇ£perimeter meat shield rentGÇ¥ as they are farmed daily in the North by hostiles they are not strong enough to defend against.
Must have been disappointing for so many that shot structures for weeks only to find out that they were going to be getting crap space thatGÇÖs so far out in the middle of nowhere that the only way it is tolerable is if you have a Carrier with JC 5 otherwise youGÇÖre at the mercy of the few folks in your Alliance that are willing to GÇ£helpGÇ¥ you by selling stuff on the market for 10x Jita or your need to pay them to jump your stuff out when they get around to itGǪ.. .

I have a few tips for you as a budding reporter Riverini, first off you need to report accurate inbiased news, not drivel all day long about how awesome everyone except the people you dont like are. Secondly, dont misrepresent yourself, you arnt a killing machine, scrabbling onto killmails from afar using ewar and long range systems doesnt really count as being a great warrior. Lastly, since your grasp on Eve nullsec poilitics is tenuous at best, maybe start on something more your cup of tea, say camping Jita or hisec gates hoping for scraps from the pvpers for instance? Keep in mind that most CFC leaders are below average people in everyday life who strive to transform themselves into someone of GǣrelevanceGǥ when they log in. Once they get a taste of having their ass kissed by a few of you that taste of relevance becomes their Gǣpvp highGǥGǪ
A perfect example of this is The Mitini. He was irrelevant in EVE until he took credit for Haargoth Agmar disbanding BoB. By the time Haargoth realized Mitini was taking all the credit it was too late and Mitini had his first taste of being GÇ£relevantGÇ¥ in a game that he made fun of others for taking serious.
Fast forwardGǪGǪGǪGǪ.Mitini quit his job and has since dedicated his life trying to stay relevant as a space pixel politician for this video game. Now donGÇÖt get me wrong, I could not be happier that heGÇÖs decided to make pixel politicking his lifeGÇÖs work since he has certainly gotten CCP to focus efforts back on the loyal players they abandoned long ago. The sad part of his story is that he let his obsession with a character called Molle to control his real life actions and now Mitini lives alone, hunched over his computer like Golem with his ring, working furiously to maintain being relevant to youGǪGǪthe sheep of the CFCGǪ
GÇ£Snot whatGÇÖs your point?GÇ¥GǪGǪGǪGǪGǪ..well its simple. DonGÇÖt be a pawn. Ps. get yourself to branch and you might be able to sneak onto a supercap kill!
Pps. isnt this a quite ironic statement about relevance "Keep in mind that most CFC leaders are below average people in everyday life who strive to transform themselves into someone of GÇ£relevanceGÇ¥ when they log in" considering you clearly strive to gain relevance

Hmm, and there was me thinking I was one of those ceo's, having been ceo of 0din for the whole 3 years of its lifespan, I still manage to log on, join fleets and have a really good time playing Eve, I manage to get into as many fleets as I want to, no it isnt a second job and you know why? Because I have a fantastic corp and a top command team to make sure we all have a good time in 0din. And yeah I know full well how it works in nullsec, do you? And as for failing at life, well being married, having two children and currently training to be a psychotherapist, yep, it does look like I have failed in life. Good call there basement guy.
And as for all being sheep? How would you know? Why do you have this obsessive disorder about the CFC? Didn't they let you in? Let me tell you a little secret, my corp have fought on every side in Eve, For IT, against IT, for GSF, against GSF, small wars, lowsec, hisec and we find ourself most comfortable, after all this time in the CFC.
Why? Because it is the most organised, least controlling, least egotistic and most fun organisation we have ever encountered. Is that why you are so mad? Becasue you have had to be the guy looking in the window while people laugh and enjoy themselves around the hearth? Do you know why you are so disliked? Because you are pitiful and weak, and nobody likes weakness, it is ugly. Trust me, I almost know what I'm doing. |

The story of how they got deklin may not be the most inspiring but how long they have held it still stands a history spanning a year or more, in the life of a game that's super long, equivalent to a hundred years of real life time. VFK is a place with much history, who else would hold it.
Also moving is a *****, the less of it the better.
For a long period of time they were the buffer to the whole north and east, if they could do it for, how long after the NC fell, some other people can deal with it too. Allies are, well allies, they are not some kind of flock to be herded into safe pastures. They must survive the trial of blood and tears, to get and keep space. Those who are not strong enough are piled high, the mountain of skulls and bodies for mittani's thrown.
I guess you found out that we basically Pets. We pay rent, but it is not of material things like isk, or tech moons, which the goons a have plenty and give to others. The mittani and other leaders of the clusterfuck lust for blood and tears, they feed of it, and gain power from the suffering, and hatred of others. We must provide tribute so we can keep space, every month giant vats of blood and tears are brought to vfk. The more suffering, the rage, the hate, the sweeter it tastes.
Yes grinding sov is boring, but it must be done to harvest the maximum tears, tears of those losing regions and valuable tech are the strongest and most potent. Those we send die, and we harvest them as well, tears and blood we must have more of it, the source does not matter, but the tears and blood must keep flowing. |

Snot Shot wrote: A perfect example of this is The Mitini. He was irrelevant in EVE until he took credit for Haargoth Agmar disbanding BoB.

I love it how so many gaming news sites interview completely irrelevant Eve players.
Just because you are probably too dense to get it: The article is from 2007, long before BoB was disbanded.
