It's obvious from the posts that there's been tension between BoB and M.Pire for some time. A bit of diplomacy on both sides would've smoothed things out.
Basically BoB carebears are complaining that a few people shot some rats and mined some roids are whined and complained at this huge travesty. In the early days of refugees moving around there's gonna be some confusion and tension. Some sympathy while shunting them into a constellation might have helped that is if there intention was to move in for ratting.
Perhaps taking time to communicate and allowing it to filter through the ranks might have been a better option rather than increasing your list of enemies.

From the BoB alts so far, the answer appears to be, yes. 
I'll make this quite clear MC don't pay BoB. BoB pay MC for space as they are MC's pets.

This reason why is because the BoB diplomats messed up and did not find a solution. The reason why everyone thinks your posts are damage control is because that's what BoB should actually do.

Everyone reading this thread outside of M.Pire and BoB has the view that you tried to shaft your friends which is viewed negatively.
Someone with cunning knowledge of PR would have admitted the diplomatic mistake first, then go on to explain their position. You then follow up with stating that you are unhappy that they left your side but respect their decision, etc.
Coming into the thread to "debate" the topic is viewed as being disrespectful in PR terms. If you are here to debate so be it and have fun.  If you are attempting damage control then you should be fired.

Yep, and then calling your former allies cowards traitors and liars doesn't exactly help you with the damage control 
With that kind of rhetoric, no wonder M.Pire lost patience with you

It's one thing to not want someone to be your ally but something has gone down to make them decide to fight against their friends.
I don't know if they're "being evil" or not.

I think this has identified a very specific issue. M.Pire offered to fight on their behalf in mercenary style so BoB requested M.Pire pay them for offering that service.
Most mercenaries are paid by their clients, they don't pay too their clients. Perhaps this was a simple misunderstanding, perhaps MC pays BoB for the honor to fight for them and BoB expect all mercenaries to operate this way.
