Edited by: Kanarue Shinohara on 13/10/2007 07:32:02 It is unfair for the Caldari to get all of the special attention with Jita in Caldari space.
We would like to even the share of the pie, and not let one faction have the lion's share.
Suggested additional hubs for each hubless faction:
Gallente - (One of three choices:) Luminaire, Cat (=^-^=), or Parts (Interesting name.) Amarr - Toshabia (Reference to a certain Japanese electronics company we all know.) Minmatar - Magiko (It's all so Magiko!) Jove - (Unknown, until the Jovians become a public race.)
With 4-5 hubs diluting us from the cramming crampedness of Jita, we may say goodbye to most of our lag problems.
If the above proposed systems have a low-security status, when the devs instate them as new hubs, they can promote them to 0.9 (or even better- 1.0.)

The problem is that CCP have not created trade hubs. The players created them. Jita was the orginal CCP nerfed the orgianl and Jita formed.

Amarr, Rens and Oursulaert are the trade hubs for those factions.
Check the link under my sig how to make them as popular as Jita for trading.

I think the players made Jita their trade hub because about 5 or 6 jump-routes link there. It appears to depend on how many jump gates link to a system. To turn any (high-sec) system into a trade hub, all the devs have gotta do is add more jumpgates to that system.

Edited by: Nicoli Voldkif on 13/10/2007 21:28:09 Before Jita there was Yulai. Problem is the density of Caldari make its market hub the most utilized which reinforces that its the primary trade hub. There is no way to force people to trade elsewhere. -----------------------------------------------

Its not as simple as number of gates.
Amarr wins in good connections, it has so many regions 1-2 jumps away and so many more about 6 jumps away, it not wonder Amarrians created such a big empire. At the same time, Amarr is probably the least popular among players for both, ship and roleplaying reasons so Amarr empire space is quite empty compared to Caldari space.
Rens has good connections and also is very near to many 0.0 entry points in south - east, o its very well supplied with 0.0 loot from Angel regions. Its funny, but duct tape ships seem to bend human minds into thinking that everything should be cheap. ;)
Osmeden is right where people enter north-western 0.0 regions and lowsecs and also has good connections.
But Jita had thousands of Caldari mission runner clients, and caldari mission runners are quiet, but numerous. Many clients => good sales => more traders => better supply => more clients => (...), and so it became the main trede hub.

There's a reason each and every stage of the game has had ONE hub. All attempts made to force people away from whatever hub was pupular at the time failed. At best, changes to jumpgates simply created a new "best hub system".
People simply gravitate towards that one spot where they can get everything they want or need bought and sold. Yulai first, now Jita, next, who knows?

Wouldn't help at all. CCP don't control the market in any way (anymore) and as such it would be impossible to 'create' a new hub. Jita is central (based on population densities around New Eden) and as such most people will go there. ---
