Lets face it, it is the hope of any commander in any theatre to bring overwhelming force to secure an objective. Overwhelming force can be applied in any of a number of ares, quality, technology and/or sheer numbers. Thats not to say that every commander does not have the wet hero dream of overcoming insurmountable odds, and the accompanying glory. And occasionally it happens, but is the exception not the rule. I think the majority of these were reluctant heroes who had little in the way of other options. This idea that engagements ought to be even and honourable costs lives. It flies in the face of sound military strategy and historical data bout what works. Overwhelming force is a valid tactic. Recently I have had the opportunity to spend some time in the South... now albeit this is a limited experience thus far, the gangs I have been in have met with nothing to shoot at. There were reds in system, but I assume they were all safed. There are many here who would ascribe that to cowardice, but I don't think so. All the smack aside, I don't think the folks in the south got what they have by being chicken, unable to fight or anything like it. Frankly I think it is smart strategy. The gangs I was in posed no direct threat to any assets in the system, we were roaming looking for a fight, additions to the killboard. I'm sure they knew that, and knew if we didn't get a fight we would move along. SO... they lost nothing, and we left,. No need to chase us out. Perhaps we find a system where folks are disposed to fight us or not run for cover, and we get some kills. I bet we check that system right away next time. Systems where we never get engaged may or may not ever be revisited. After all, the definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting a different result wouldn't you say? Oh I'm sure one time we will pass through and they will be waiting for us, on their terms, or at least more equal terms. But TBQH why should they allow us to force them to fight on our terms when there is no danger of losing assets if they do not? So AFAIAC both strategies seem to be valid, intelligent and time tested strategies for dealing with combat situations, with no more or less honor than any other. There is no honour in dying needlessly, without any affect on the general outcome. It can be quite fun though, but to each their own.

And we will fight on our terms. Sometimes we will suicide small numbers into your gang for a laugh, and sometimes you are gonna get blobbed. Just because we had 70 able ppl to fight doesn't mean we bloobed you, only noob's who can't amit it say we blobbed you. We had 70 able ready fighters to wipe you out, its just that. If you wanna call that blobbing go on then. We got challeneged and we brought our side to the battlefield, just because we outnumbered you doesn't even matter. you entered our space with caps, you will see a force that no others have seen and you will die. If i could do this, Just imagine what i would do to you

One bit I'd add: 4.5 - Quam dock up to escape the punishment and kop an immense amount of smack for not staying and getting killed. That's why the forum thread started. Not that anyone minds the smack, it's funny. Of course no one in Quam minds big alliances fielding big numbers, it's to be expected and no one is complaining about it. If you guys are too slow to get your carrier kills then too bad, your guys should X up faster instead of spanking their inner moppets in local.

Quam does have one major advantage, for a small corporation, they have plenty of forum warriors. Proven by the fact that in about 2 hours, this topic reached 6 pages long... You guys crying for what you call a "fair" fight, have to realize one simple truth, the world isn't fair, and this includes Eve (those who say Eve isn't the real world can suck a lolli for all I care). As for your challenge, I'll be contacting Autrion to offer my services to go up against ya's. Win or lose, it'll be fun to fight such strong forum warriors .
