Tbh, i dont see why not everybody gets maxed skills on test server all the time. So everybody could test everything in game. Not only the ones who can on TQ already.
There would be a much bigger chance that bugs/problems/balancing issues would be found much faster if everybody could try all features.

Well, a good example is Tactical Shield Manipulation. It worked at levels 1-4, but not at 5.
Checking to make sure every level of a skill applies the correct bonus is a good thing.

It is because that way all players will sit on SiSi instead of TQ. If You want to get Your skills maxed, be a bughunter, hunt bugs, write reports. If You get enough, You'll get Your bonus in maxed skills upon new mirror. -- Thanks CCP for cu<end of sig> |

I dont think that would happen, because you cant achieve anything on the testserver, every month or 2 everything you did will just be wiped out. Sure you can sit in one system and shoot at other people all day, but is that really what you want from eve?

You'd be surprised. I've had god-poworz before testing stuff, and things get really dull, really fast. The fun part is not knowing what to expect or if you'll like the end result, instead focussing on the journey.

It's a testserver. Today they needed some stress testing done, so they made it attractive for players to log in.
What they don't want is a test server where the majority of the players log in for some pew pew instead of actual testing.

Well they should give max skills when they bring out new items or ships but only give max skills regarding those items. That way you can try the new stuff and wont be inclined to just sit around and kill stuff. 0.0 Policing, Econnomic Control & NPC Agents |

They frequently do. For example, everyone got Thermodynamics V when heat came out on SISI. -------------------- ICE Blueprint Sales FIRST!! -Yipsilanti Pfft. Never such a thing as a "last chance". ;) -Rauth |

because poeple wont have as much drive to train up for new ships... because theyve already flown em loads on a test server instead, therefore people will loose interest and ccp will loose customers and money. that, i beleive is the reason... and a good one as well
getting a new ship is like getting a kick arse xmas present... openening all before xmas takes all the fun out of it Only once you've lost everything, are you free to do anything. |
