Hello all, I was curious as to if anyone could give any guidance on this topic. While I am by no means rich, I have enough to get me by. But like many before me, IGÇÖve grown tired of the game. Before my account expires, IGÇÖd like to give away my wealth. What is the best way to identify new and struggling players or those organizations that help those players and whatGÇÖs a good way of going about distributing your wealth to those players and organizations? Tl;dr: yes, you can haz my stuff

There's really no best way; most people who are leaving the game have in-game or out-of-game friends who still play that they leave their wealth to, should they actually be prone to removing it from their own account.
If you're really looking to give it to the poor and downtrodden, your best bet is probably to look up characters that have died in highsec in, say, mining cruisers. |

Create new character. Watch NPC corp chat for people asking questions. Give iskies away to those asking newbie questions.
Enjoy. |

You can't. Not in the time you have left. All you can do is deposit your wealth upon someone and ask them to use it within certain guidelines. After that, it is in their hands. Of course finding someone who will keep to their word is another ball of messy bad tasting wax.
PS: I totally expect this to be a troll thread but ... meh.

Try EVE University? If not the first random newbie you see mining in the starting systems or the ones asking in Help chat.
But really, my suggestion is -- if you have considerable wealth, keep it. Let your account expire and check back again in 6 months or 1 year. Trust me.
I have taken many breaks before and I always end up coming back just to get hooked again with the game.
Good luck. |

This is what I do. Easy to spot the real new players and there's a endless supply of them. Also there's a rookie channel they post in. |

I'd say you should either go with a contribution to a corp with a long-standing history of providing a good learning atmosphere for new players (EVE University and Red v. Blue are the examples that spring most immediately to mind), or just keep the money on your account in case you come back. There's no telling if a brand new player with whom you sympathize and dump a bunch of ISK onto will even be playing a month from now. So if you're looking to contribute with an eye toward the ISK actually seeing use, contributing to a corp with a system already set up and ready to put that ISK to use for newbies in need is your best bet. |

I'd suggest RvB over Eve University at this point for reasons already hashed out elsewhere.
Agony Unleashed is another good learning institution, as is GSF (though they've got plenty of ISK, and they're not open to all comers).
Huh, only 4 name brand newbie friendly organizations in Eve that I can think of. Single-Shard, Player Driven Sandbox.
5 words. That's what makes it special in my eyes. |

Eve University would be an awfully good choice, or spend some time dropping in on random high-sec miners in frigates or newbie ships. For fun you could sit outside Jita promising to double any money sent to you and then actually double it. Charity with LOLZ.
If none of these things seem appealing just send the ISK to me. I won't share them with anybody but you'd at least bring a big smile to my face. ;) |

Enjoy. Gotta third this one. Best way to do it really. Strength isnt measured in numbers but in force of will. For if one motived willful individual stands many will fall around him that are weak.

You could send the isk to Vaerah Vahrokha's plex for good fund so it can be cashed out and sent on to the Red Cross next time CCP run a charity drive.
Also, ignore all the people above saying keep it in case you come back. Give it away so if you come back you'll have an extra fun challenge to engage with. |

Sell all you have, get iskies.
Go to Jita local, tell everyone you are leaving and will double any amount sent to you.
Make everyone go mindfuck when you actually do it. |

I'm working towards manufacturing jump freighters, I could always use a few extra bil to spend on supplies.
But I would agree with giving to EVE University
There is no other corp that helps players as much as EVE Uni. |

If you REALLY want to do the best you can and help not players but real people, you might consider what RAW23 / Kara Roideater said:
VAERT
That institution was showcased at Fanfest 2010 and was about gathering funds over time and send them in bulk to CCP when some Real Life disaster happened and CCP activated one of their PLEX for < victims > charity campaigns.
The fund gathered more than 91B at its peak point (sent to CCP since a disaster indeed happened) which mapped on some > USD 4,000 RL cash donation.
As of now VAERT is inactive but if the donation is worth it, I might reactivate it.
Edit: HD video showcasing VAERT, what it did and proof of donations. |

What a nice guy.
The noob donation could end up going to waste, a lot of people don't have staying power, even if they like the idea of EVE.
The Jita trick would be the most fun I think, and it would help whoever took the gamble, (though they are nt very smart, too trusting, a bad trait in EVE lol).
I would save, I've come and gone like 6 times.
VVs would be the most 'real' help though, you might try that. |

I'll make a donation if it will get reactivated. 10bil enough to get you started? This was one of the few unequivocally good things I have seen in eve and I would very much like to see it continue. |

Yes I would reactivate it.
Actually remember that there are 2.7B already allocated, they just sit in Chribba's wallets. He has explicit and irrevocable mandate of releasing them into PLEX if a next RL emergency happened. |

Dont give your ISK to new players. It could spoil the fun that is getting started of your own. It would have ruined my start, thats sure. |
