I got a really good question for CCP, how much would it cost some to never have to pay for eve again? say i won the lottery, how big of a check would i have to write so i can get lifetime membership?

If you've won the lottery, stop escaping real life with EVE and go do something constructive with your time and money!!!

Difficult to say. Such solutions are only working for game that know they have short lifetime span. EVE Online however, have the posibility of going on for ages. So I dont know really..

I'd settle for a one-year subscription option. One payment for a year's play.

would figure the first response would be negative. i would say playing eve would be my 1 true vice, i don't smoke, do drugs, and barely drink. i work full time and help my gf with her kids, and we got a baby on the way. so i think i am entitled alittle escape.

A hundred years of subscription would cost, around *crunch numbers*, 12000?
I think that would suffice, and i bet CCP would be willing to round it down to an even 10k

Well, let's see... assuming a roughly 7% per year interest rate, for approx 135$/year subscription option, I'd have to say a 2000$ pricetag would be just about more than enough for a lifetime membership. _

Just set up a savings account which gives just enough interest to pay for the EVE subscription, sign up for recurring billing, and enjoy. Akita T probably has the numbers right. ------------------------------ One more soldier off to war... And one Velator in my hangars. |

Edited by: SoftRevolution on 21/10/2007 16:41:43 How much would it cost me to play football with two teams of T72s and a Lada as the ball every week if I moved to a former USSR country?
Because honestly I think that'd be a more entertaining target to shoot for.

Hmm... I'd have to say "fuel costs, the price of the Lada, and about 500$ each week" _

In which case it would take 13698(2 euro per day / 10mill EUR / 365 days in a year) years for it to even be free for him

Seriously though. The amount for a life subscription is probebly far less then it's worth hiring the people to calculate a reasonable answer. ___________

10.000.000 USD because, well, CCP doesn't know anything about exchange rates or likes to blame some magic 50% VAT for the huge price difference.

They'd have no reason at all to answer your petitions then.
I've already heard a number of people that say they get faster and better petition responses on accounts that are paid monthly rather than every 90 days. If your subscription renewal is close then CCP want to keep you happy

I would think EVE would be gone (or better yet, replaced by EVE II) in 20 years, so whatever it costs for a 20 year sub.
