Looking at in on test server.
Requirs cynofield field theory lvl 5 which is a lvl 5 skill.
Prety damn harsh if you ask me. Thought CCP would know better after just about noone trained for triadge.

Yeah, sucks when a lvl 5 skill is lvl 5, I wish they were lvl 6 sometimes.

I dont see the point in that much training time so you can be able to open a cyno field for someone else.

Damn, I guess that my training of a two rank 5 and a rank 6 skill to get access to a rank 12 skill pales in comparison eh? I mean nobody uses Dreadnoughts or Siege mods because of the training time....silly me....

In the end the whiners will get it lowered to level 4 anyways - never train skills based on SiSi data. I learned that the hard way :P

It always made me sad that this skill basically does nothing (5% agility on a huge friggin ship? woooo hoooo) and seems to exist basically just as a time sink before you can fly capital ships. __________________________________

Then don't train for it. No one is forcing you to fly a black ops battleship.

Actually you will find very few people trained for triadge which is also a rank 5 skill, but that has more to do with the uselessness of traidge more than anything else.
Now just about everyone here missed my point completely. Yes I dont like the skill and yes I wont train for it. But im going to be in a blackops so its everyone else that needs to train it.
To be able to move arround ect i will need OTHER people to TRAIN this skill for me. A bunch of other poor suckers will have to spend 20 days training a skill that has no benefit to them at all so i can use my blackops.

I have my own dread and carrier and can fly rorq so i have done all the skills.
Whats different about this one is it wont be me that has to train for an extra 20 days to use this ship effectively, it will be other people. I would have to ask many other people in my alliance to train this 20 day skill which has no benefit to them at all so i can use my blackops.

Missed the point completely, you dont need the skill for blackops. Others will have to train the skill for you for no benefit to them.

The skill is pretty sweet, especially if the covert ops cyno uses the same fuel, only 50 units to open it up in a force recon ---------------------------------

This skill is not about personal benefit, it benefits your corp/alliance, so I guess it is worth training. ¦¦¦ Eve what it lacks in frames per second it more than makes up for with drama per thread. |

Still, at least I will have level 5... And have spent months using black ops jumping ...
Just train for it... What else ya gonna do?
And lets face it, if you are a dedicated jump portal toon, why would you not have level 5? ---

So your Blackops ship coming into the fight is of no benefit to them?
A 20 day skill is nothing compared to other skills that can take a month or more. Having higher skills is cool when it takes far less fuel to open a cyno. Less fuel in the cargo means more ammo. Also less cost to the corp as a whole to move their Carrier/Dread/Titan when they need to, there is more to creating a cyno than moving a blackops ship. These skills make them more useful to the corp when they need to move caps with lower cost. Have the corp pay for the skill for them and take the sting out of it a bit.
Or better still, create a second account and train up that character.
