Edited by: Ju Man''ji on 29/10/2007 23:50:21 As topic indicates, I am wondering what an acceptable minimum DPS would be? I'm getting into a Sacriledge soon and using EFT. My starting DPS would be 257 w/o drones and 306 w/ drones. Are these numbers good enough to run lvl 4's solo with? Setup would be as follows:
Lows: 1x T2 M-Repper, 1x N-Type E-Thermal Plating, 1x EANM, 2x T2 BCU's Mids: 1x T2 AB, 1x Webber, 1x T2 Cap Rechargers, 1x Drone Nav. Comp Highs: 5x Arbalest HAM's, 1 Drone Link Augmenter Rigs: 1x Bay Launcher I, 1x Warhead Calefaction I Drones: 3x T2 Hobs
Once I train lvl 4 HAC's, my DPS goes to 305 w/o Drones and 355 w/ drones. My missile skills need some serious training, but as of now, is the DPS sufficent for soloing a lvl 4 mission? Thanks!

I was doing them with (According to EFT) a DPS of 246 (that's including drones). Took me a good long while, but it's definitely possible. Just make sure you have a good tank.

Depends on ship, long range gun ships have a much higher minimium DPS needed.
For a HAC with such dps, blitzing lvl 3's would be much more economicl.

I have found that tank > gank for mish. If you can tank the mish then its only a matter of time to complete it. 100 DPS after resists should be enough to break any NPC tank. Higher DPS is nice to make the mish go faster but its tank that makes them doable.

its not enough for all -- rachen mysuna will laught about that lousy damage and you might even not be able to kill concord mission ships (if you fly missions in 0.0) -- but for most missions, it is enough

Hmm, Concord BS, 75% chance to rep 500hp every 10sec = 50 rep max, 37.5 avrg Rachen Mysuna, 75% chance to rep 1000hp every 10sec = 100 rep max, 75 avrg
Never ran into Rachen before but in theory you should be able to pop him. Might take forever but could be done. The key here in what I said is "After Resists", I made a spreadsheet of all the NPC reps amounts and found 100 was max needed.
For Rachen you only need 200dps raw in Kin to break tank. I am talking about the minimal DPS needed to break tank. The fact he can do 254dps with HAMs means he should be able to kill any NPC with the right dmg type. Just need to live long enough to see it happen.

DPS from a Sac is plenty to kill Rachen. It's people that try to launch cruises or heavies from long range that have trouble with him. Just get close enough to take his defenders out of the equation, and he only boosts about 75dps with kinetic resists at 50%, + his shield recharge for a total tank of about 180dps vs kinetic means a Sac will take him down pretty quick.
As for the concept of using short range weapons in lvl 4s.... ugh. But that's not the point of this thread.

Thanks for the replies. Once I am able to fly the Sac, I will then begin training for T2 HAM's. Once there, I will be able to choose long or short range missiles. Now that I am thinking about it, I'll be able speed tank NPC's as well. A buddy of mine was in a lvl 4 mish with me flying a Zealot w/ minimal skills and he had roughly 10 NPC BS's, various cruisers, and various BC's following him and he wasn't hardly getting hit. So, I'd imagine I'll be able to do the same.
Thanks again.
