Hello.
I managed to find an Angel Cartel data log detailing a system with a Brutor chick in. I decided to try and find it and warped to the system and started scanning. Sure enough one unknown comes up and I manage to scan it down to an 'Observation post'. Now what? How do I find what the data log is refering to?
I am somewhat confused as to what I am supposed to do? Are data logs pointless or have I missed something important? Do I need to the data log on me when I find the location in order for something to happen because I left it back at the station
Any help would be appreciated

No, basicly logs are worthless snippets that used to point to small spawns or mini-complexes.
They were "broken accidently" in a patch long ago. Devs promised a fix. All involved CCP parties were careful to not mention it again until someone brought it up on forums months later, and then only to reply "we removed them on purpose of course, because.. because!"
your thinking "hmm, it sure would be nice of ccp to at least remove the actual system names to stop fooling people with worthless items"
yes, your right.
.02 iskies, of course. Maybe, just maybe, they got a massive revamp just yesterday and nothing I said is true any longer, that would be great and I would love to hear it.

They used too give information regarding static complexes.
They dont exist anymore therefore the logs are somewhat useless. -

The logs are not useless! Do not believe what anyone says to that regard!
Here's what you have to do. Collect many logs and gather them in your station. When you get a good number (though you can do this one at a time if you want) select all of them. You can do this by holding Ctrl as you click each one. Then, right-click... and... and... reprocess them! Woot!
Look at those minerals!
Yeah, they're only good for reprocessing, and entertainment value from reading them,if you're into worthless information. :) ------------------- 4 8 15 16 23 42 108 |
