Hello there i was wondering what is the best PVP setup ?
i have :
High slot :
1x 150 carbide railgun
1 x 250 Carbide railgun
2 x missle launcer
Med:
1x Tracking disruptor
my setup isent finish and i dont like it !!!

As a tackler/support ship:
1 x 250 railgun
3 x heavy missle launcher (with torpedos or Cruiser missiles)
Med:
1x MWD
1x Sensor booster (could be using 1 or 2 extra boosters and 2 less dampeners if faster lock is required)
1x Warpscrambler (tackler)
1x Webifier (tackler)
2x Sensor dampeners (2x dampeners if frigate tacklers are avaliable)
Low:
2x Cap relays
This is a quite general setup for team fights. As a tackler close position on the gate as dampener about 70-80km from gate.

then use lightors setup, but instead of the dampeners. Use a medium shield booster and an em ward.

skip the dampners and go for ecm, dampners are not ment for solo PvP,

Only one in this conversation has discovered a worthy layout for his vessel.
All others will fail.
Consider this fledgling pilot: The most powerful offensive you can mount on a cruiser class vessel are targetted missle systems.
The surest way to guarentee thier use is when your prey cannot disturb you. Only one piece of equipment ensures this across all vessels of all races.

Get a scorp or a reven then.
Using a bb solo is like giving money away, it doesn't do huge ammounts of damage, it isn't agile, it isn't fast, all it has is mid slots and 3 launcher hardpoints, it's best used as a support ship.
Best setup would vary between
1x MWD
1x Signal Booster
1x Warp Scrambler
3x Ew (be it dampeners,or jammers)
But i must tell you that you will lose the bb a lot, especialy solo.

There are a lot of different Setups...
I prefer:
HI: 3x250mm Rails, 1xH-50 Class Launcher
MED: 1x Sensor Booster, 2x20K-Range Warpdisruptors, 2x Langours-Webber
1xAfterburner
LOW: PowerGrids for %tly more Cap
the other way Jamming and Laucher:
Hi: 3xH-50 Class Launcher
MED: 1xSensor Booster, 3x RaceSpec.-Jammers, 2 Multi Jammers
Low: 2xWarpcore or -> 1xWarpCore and 1xArmorRep.
If youre gang PvP, you can also config a Support BB with Track-Linking and Remote Sensors or Tracking disruptors.

Ordo, you are gravely mistaken. The Blackbird that I fly is very competent in combat in one versus one situations.
The fire power is admirable and will vaporize a similiarly classed vessels in under a minute while they watch hoplessly.
Smart pilots fear and avoid any encounter with this vessel. All others simply become liberated.

don t use the rail you fit, unless you desperatly need to.
don t forget to bring fof and defenders.
don t waste amo on anything you can t kill.
and yes, damps and warp scrambler is what you need to fit.

Tell that to the thorax with a full complement of heavy drones, your jamming mean nothing to him as his drones do more damage than your cruise missiles.

Thats you choice...
I have dun a lot of Fittings with the BB.
Its not only the Fast Kill wich counts, instead its the combination of fast and safe killings. If you not only want the Corpse.
FOF Cruiser making too much damge for those things, i like to get the players stuff anyway. If you want to use Missles, Defenders and Heavies.
If you are on a killing Spree and do not want to get any stuff use the Dragon FOF or the Paradise Cruisers.
Thats it.

Aye, dampeners are becoming more and more worthless as more and more people pick up the short range weapons. My Rupture uses 2x 425mm and 1x 720mm. Plus 3x launchers and 2x heavies and 1x medium drone.

Your precious drones will last approximatly 10 seconds as that it the length of time it take to load a torpedo to vaporize.
But that is largely irrelevant as only one pilot has ever been able to successfully use drones against me ( I did not have my torpedoes in my holds at the time) and he was a battleship pilot versus my cruiser. Oddly enough, he logged off and left his drones to die by my hand once I warped back to his location.
Jash, you are a curious pilot. You are very vocal and hold strong opinions, yet it is clear to those of us who understand combat in this universe that nearly all of your positions are baseless and would only get you killed.

I'd like to see you last more than 8 against good thorax pilot.
