Ending every sentence with an exclamation point does not make your case stronger!

Suggestion: Stop mining high end minerals, mine low end(they pay), and then in due time, high end prices will rise and low end go down.
Or, stockpile stockpile stockpile and wait

1. Destroy all drone region stations. 2. Nerf drone region belts and spawns.
I can't make 80 mil/hour by mining with hulk! This is madness!

Don't worry. When the new ships come out mineral prices will go back up. For awhile, anyway. Let the market do its thing.

Thinking about it its not even the drone regions doing it, its the high-yield exploration sites in empire.
The mins in drone regions stays in the drone regions. Any that do get moved arnt enough to lower the market. ______________________________

Prices should never go below game starting amounts imo... Morphite - wasn't in game when the game started... so this should be as high or low as the players control. (that's my only exception to the following list)
Megacyte - 4096 Zydrine - 1024 Noxcium - 256 Isogen - 64 Mexallon - 16 Peyrite - 4 Tritanium - 1
Basically if these minimums are put in place... the market will be "stabilized" for sales amounts. Basically it would be paying the "high ends" the bottom of the barrel... and if the mineral dealers want to go lower... they will have to deal directly with the sellers OR move to the edges of space and out buying the NPCs and move them into empire.
BTW... ignore what the "value" is on the item database... this isn't what the npcs bought the minerals for in 2003. Right now if the prices have dipped below these amounts .... there is a definite need for NPC buy up... if they are above... the sellers realize that this is the price they should be... and only way to drive them higher is cut back on supply (ie hold your amounts OR release them for higher prices but on a more broad scale (not lumped in jita).

We don't need more ISK faucets in game. Let the market be player driven, nothing wrong with fluctuation in mineral prices.

hrm. someone has'nt quite managed to grasp the concept of "player-regulated economy" have they? the players will pay what the market demands. if they decide they will pay 2,500 isk/unit for trit, then the sellers will sell at that. if they will pay 1 isk for mega, then the sellers will only be able to sell that value. Welcome to the Free Market Economy.
and I dont think CCP will "buff" Zydrene to give +5% damage/level...

Are you speaking about high-end ores only? Because low-ends have a price cap determined by refines.

Its the old adage, be careful what you ask for, cause you might get it.
Miners asked for, and got barges, exhumers, capital mining ships, mining upgrades, etc etc. All of these things make mining more efficient, so there is more minerals on the market, so the price falls.
So, if you want mineral prices to go up, nerf mining.

Why should I as an older player where these isk prices were fixed the first 2 years of the game be at an advantage. I mean I got my first cruiser / bpos because of these fixed prices. They should always be there as a "balance" to the supply that the game is providing.
Trust me with the cost of doing invention these days... this isn't a facet and those holding the isk aren't mining these ores to sell... they are buying the ores and making stuff. The people with the isk (like me) need to pony up to NPC prices if we want to keep the market from dropping out completely, while not destroying existing regions of space.

If you want to get the value of high end mins up. bug CCP to make NPC spawns harder. IMO they are way to easy atm... just an extra 10% hp/damage of all NPC's will do. With rigs and what not its getting all to easy. Its only fair the NPC's get to use this new tec to there advantage to... :D

As someone not living there, it might not be echonomically worth to mine there, but I cant agree on ccp fixing the prices since this would oppose againt quite a lot of what the game stands for: Sandboxing! If CCP steps in regulating the price everything is lost! If you dont earn much money anymore on mining, take up ratting instead! Or trading, or manufcturing or wholesaling, whatever! But CCP will not and should not regulate the price, or do anything that affects the gameplay in such way, since that would mean messing with the player structure!
Sorry, but I wote NO!!

huh?
Prices were NEVER fixed. The market only worked in 1 isk increments but most real buyers/sellers worked outside the market. I remember sellign trit to TTI for 1.3 and megacyte to Techell for 15K/unit.
Don't let the facts get in the way of your whine though.

Ok ok.... CCP has little to no control over prices. Players set the buy/sell prices and control the markets. Changing that would just destroy part of what makes EVE unique. ___________

There are some top end price controls based on NPC bought items that can be refined for a given amount of minerals...
If anything this type of top end price control needs to be eliminated.
Another thing that is different is the sizr of the bolders we mine. They have all gotten smaller. The roids are no where near as large as they were 2 years ago when an entire corp mining op could sit on a massive scordite rock for an hr and be pulling mins the whole time. Covetors were still the big dawg of the mining community with the APOC running a close second, but in using a scanner the roids were larger and more numerous back then.
I have no problem moving mining to exploration, I have no issue with the cost of anything due to the free market, but I do take issue with the size of the rocks and upper end price controls.
