Hey guys.
My corp is located in High sec and has been War Declared.
We are a mining corp of young players ranging from 2 weeks old to 6 months old. We have had no pvp experience and so Im here asking for help.
The corp who has War Declared us has 10 members and seems to be pretty strong. Im still trying to find out what they want and so on.
We are willing to pay, although we are a new corp so we are low on funds at this point. I guess staying alive is worth the money we spend on protection.
We are located in the empire a few jumps from Jita. Please message me in the game.
Kind Regards iNFy

This is awfully common I am afraid. TAKAGI Corp were also ransomed at its debuts.
Could you tell us please what "empire" are you referring to ? Who is the ransoming corporation ? If you're willing to pay for protection, you may also seek for mercenary corporations.

A few jumps from Jita would probably be the Caldari State; either Lonetrek, The Forge, or The Citadel regions.

Checking their war dec's, they have wars against Hydra Alliance and Evolving Paradigms. Perhaps you should contact these 2 entities and try to coordinate attacks upon the Janissaries.

My response to this sort of thing is to always recommend that the wardec'd corporation fight however they can. Industrial corps typically don't have pvp experience, but they do have financial resources. Use those to fit out some inexpensive combat ships - battleships are not needed, effective forces can be fielded with cruisers, frigates and destroyers. You will certainly take heavy losses against an experienced combat group, but you will learn how to fight and how to work together. These are skills that any industrial corporation will find valuable in the years to come. As to losses, if you field inexpensive tech 1 ships and gear, you will find them to be very easy to bear.
If you would like any specific advice, feel free to contact me privately. Good luck in your upcoming war, and make the conflict benefit you.

Well they came and sat outside our station for about an hour. We have all made alts and did some acrobatics around their ships :P
Sad thing is that 3 of them are in T2 command ships fitted entirely with T2 equipment... so war with them would be suicide.
I would just like to know... What does "surrender" mean in EVE? Does this end the war?
They have demanded 200million... but we are new and 200million is something we can only dream about...
Any1 know of any good merc corps that would be strong enough to get rid of these guys but at the same time no charge us a fee that is so great that we cannot pay?

There is many way to fight this.
1) Hire mercs to fight for you. 2) Flee to NPC corp, till they retract the war. 3) Relocate. Move 12-15+ systems away.

Only 200M? That's a pittance fee. However, they are probably in it for the cheap thrills and quick kills.
There's really only a few things you can do, like been said: outfit some cheapo cruisers with cheapo modules and insure them (this prolly covers the price you bought them for) and go out and fight. But in this case: only go out when there's a lot of you.
Or just sit in the station with your body while your mind roams cyberspace and does more interesting things. They'll be waiting outside for you to come out, getting bored and you do all the fun things inside.
You might get lucky finding a sponsor who won't mind fighting for you, but you'll prolly gonna have to pay the declaration fee and some equipment.

Although you are Gallente, I still hold some sympathy for your plight. And it could not come at a worse time for you really. Most of the corporations that may have come to your aid are involved in their own skirmishes and are unlikely to be able to spare forces to assist you in your time of need. I would advocate sitting put, that way you lose nothing and those who are intent on doing you harm see no profit from the 50 million they have spent on the declaration made against you. The other method would be to wait until the besiegers have left the system your in and you make a run for another system. Perhaps with the right ship fittings you could jump into into a system inhabitied by other pirate forces who would give your adversary a taste of their own medicine? That which does not kill us makes us stronger. The Universe is ruled by three basic principles- Matter, Energy and Enlightened Self-Interest! |

Cheap and disposable frigates are your answer. Learn how to fight as a team, use e-war and try to inflict as much damage as possible. Even killing some of their t2 drones would be some kind of victory if you only lose a number of frigs.

Huh, another leech corporation. I suggest the first, finding the other two corps that there leeching off of. Coordinate yourself and smash them into Oblivion. If your not into that move. ----------------- I live again. |

could the fellow pod pilots realize that references to terms like "ALT" or "NPC" are not appropriate on this frequency unless decyphered into better to understand cleartext.
Both terms have been classified to be offending the "RP" (Rough Pilots) community by CONCORD. And would CONCORD and CRC have the personnel to clean up after everybody, this thread would be much shorter.
Good luck with your war, if you need mercs call for TNT, EST or VETO they know their business (some of them spare time pirates, so dont be a moral apostel)
until then:
- scout ahead - change mining systems - change ratting systems - change mission agents
do that twice per week, it will help reducing the losses.

Edited by: SomeHardLovin on 09/11/2007 18:18:45 While sitting in the POS I reccomend training yourself for Gallente Cruisers (Thorax specifically) and medium blasters. Medium scout drones too. Cheap ships that at close range will damage your opponent heavily unless they fly Heavy Assault Ships..
Undock in force, engage microwarp drives and catch them napping with Antimatter M rounds..
Good luck.

Get some cheap T1 ships as heas been said. Learn to operate as a team and learn to enjoy the rush of combat. When it is all done and you go back to the industrial lifestyle you have chosen it will give to things to chat about as your mining lasers drill away.
Everyone has the right to fly and do as they wish, but sometimes this right has to be fought for and defended. -----------------------------------------------

Typical Gallente coming to the summit sniveling and expecting handouts. They have not got a clue. I wouldn't be surprised if it was some of them Minmatar dogs aswell. Ha! that would be ironic after all the underhanded 'deal' the Gallente do with them.
