In my relatively short time in eve I've seen many people with bounties flying around here and there (mostly in High Sec fortunatly). However I've so far seen no way of tracking down players other than the good old suicidal way of "Hey, I want to kill you, cash your bounty and sell your cold frozen corpse to medical sience, where are you right now? Ah, no kidding? Kool kool, I'll be there in 20 minutes, feel free to round up some buddies to ambush me as i make an attempt on your life with no element of surprice whatsoever."
Is are those my choices? or is there a way to track down a pirat without asking politely?
ps, are bounties on players only increased by other players or does concord add some when the security gets plenty of low? New and Naive, be gentle |

you can use locator agents. For a small fee they will think about it for a bit and then tell you where the target is.
By the time you get there however...
and Im not sure how to sepcifically spot locator agents. I just noticed I had one when he asked me if I wanted help finding anyone.

Well, only way you could possibly make a living out of it would be to look for autopilot shuttles/pods in highsec and suicide it. 1 Destroyer for popping shuttle/frig and 1 for getting the pod.
Only time I had a pirate bounty in lowsec was when a badboy found it smart to loggoffski just as his geddon popped to save his pod.... probe and 60m richer. Really hard to catch em in lowsec when they die, unless they make a mistake or get smartbombed. The pirates who always get their pods away are those with high bounties.

Looted mods from someone's ship > Bounty payments for the most part.
I don't even bother to check personally. Sometimes I'll be checking my killmails and go, "oooh I got 100k from podding that guy".
It's more of a cute bonus than real income. "I got soul but I'm not a soldier" |

To find a locator agent..use eve-agents.com (which should be back at some point. Its experiencing technical difficulties)
If memory serves you can sort agents by wether or not they provide location services.
You will want to use a LVL 4 agent tho. They can find anyone in the universe. I think it goes:
LVL 1 agent: Can find someone in the same system LVL 2 agent: Can find someone in the same constellation LVL 3 agent: Can find someone in the same region LVL 4 agent: Can find someone in the whole universe
The ranges are approximate, but if you don't have a LVL 4, count on getting rejected :)
Have fun finding anyone. (Usual trick for me, is to put'em in your buddies list..wait till they log and then check your agent) Then camp out wherever your agent says they are. They will even be nice and tell you which station they are in.

Incorrect. Shift them all down one level and you're right. The only advantage of level four locators iirc is that they're faster and require less cooldown time.
