Hi! I'd like to do a fit for my mission raven with a DG large shield booster to save some cap (the xlarge option is just 2 minutes, too much micromanage for me, I come from a dominix, you know :) ). Looking to the EFT, a DG LSB plus a DG shield amp is around 100 dps/sec that is good for most mission, but the sweet spot for me is around 130-140 (like 2 lar2) and adding another SB AMP (lossing an hardner) push me to around 140 dps/sec for 8 min of cap. In your experience is it that good? Do you think is better to add this SB amp or another lesser booster to start when needed or just put back the hardner? Thanks!

1. Opened quickfit 2. Set char to all Level V 3. Set ship: Raven 4. Added 2 DG LSB.
Cap lasts: 1m 26s.
5. Added Heavy Electrochemical Booster I w/ 800's.
Cap lasts: 5m 11s.
So i'm gonna call bull**** on that right now. --------------------- Your sig is inappropriate. Please read the forum rules before reposting. -Tirg Sig jacked and nerfed in one day, just my luck. |

I would suggest downloading EFT. It is a very accurate tool for modeling cap usage, and that's the whole issue with mission ravens innit. It also shows you how much you can tank and you can compare your extra shield amp to for instance having only one amp and one invuln. field etc.
Now it might happen that regular S&M forum warriors you see here, most often self proclaimed PvP gods, when loosing an argument about how to fit a particular ship for a particular purpose, will tell you EFT is rubbish and shouldn't be relied upon in the "real" world. Ignore them, they're wrong - EFT is perfectly accurate in almost all cases.

If you can fit it, Your DG Booster, then 3 hardeners and 2 Amps. Dont fit a second booster though.

Actually cap use is a bit inaccurate, since cap usage isn't the flat line EFT uses, but rather fairly jerky, which is bad on the cap. Of course, it's close, so unless you're like on the edge of stability, you can rely on it. Quikfit is more accurate here with a real cap simulation.
Download both EFT and Quikfit. I prefer EFT, though, Quikfit is a bit unfriendly.
And do listen to the veterans, their experience is much more important than any numbers you pull out your ass. ------------------------------ One more soldier off to war... And one Velator in my hangars. |
