I'm making 2 alts and I need some help.
The 1st alt must be able to fly an industrial ship right from the start or be very close to it. This alt is ONLY for hauling ore that I mine on my primary. I experimented with different options, but I just cannot create such a character simply because I don't know this game well enough yet.
The 2nd alt will be a fighting beast. The sole purpose is to kill as fast as possible and have fairly fast advancement through skills. The primary purpose of this character will be missions, PvP, and maybe pirating in the distant future. No need to have any trade, industry or mining ability on this one. Please don't abbreviate stuff. I'm a newb.
Thanx in advance.

You cant have industrial ship skill from the start since it can not be trained on trial accounts at all. You still can choose military career and have all the prerequirements to train it as your first skill. Just make sure you have Frigate III and Spaceship Command III. Also the choice of race here is quite important and since this alt is only for hauling purposes you will want the best haulers possible so choose either Gallente or Jin-Mei with the highest combination of perception-willpower you can get.
For the second alt, well they say Gallente has the best ships for PvP. Minmatar' Brutors may be a good optional choice as well

Your character needs to have high intelligence with memory following next. The specialization needs to be industry as these characters have good amount of science skills from the very start. Use the links I posted above to pick the better combination for this.

Ok.... After Playing around with the options and reading guides, this is the best I could come up for the minmatar soldier worker:
Cha- 7 Int - 7 Mem - 8 Per - 9 Wil - 8
One thing that I dont like is 7 intelligence.. I heard everything must be at least 8, for reasonably fast skill training. Just how much difference will 7 int make for a soldier? Are we talking extra days, weeks, months of training? or is it not as bad as I think?

Also can someone please link me to where I can read about stats and find out what number is considered "optimal: and how different stat numbers affect skills?
Hey,
You can always check out this app called EveHQ:
http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=627915
It has a character creation plugin which will let you view all races, skills, stats including a massive list of every single combo. Its pretty awesome for wanting to set up alt, take a look!

Well.. After some more thinking, and using that proggy you recommended me I narrowed everything down to three choices, but I need help choosing one...
It's either Minmatar Sebestor Rebel with:
8 in everything except charisma
or
Brutor Worker, that has 8 in everything xept for percep that is 9 and intelligence and charisma that are 7
or
Sebestor Rebel that has 8 in everythign xept for memory and charisma that are 7.
The PRIMARY purpose of this character is to do missions, and maybe do some PvP/Pirating in the future.... So... HOW MUCH DIFFERENCE IS THERE BETWEEN 7 and 8 charisma when it comes to mission rewards??? I heard charisma influences the amount of money you get for missions or something like that.
Right now, I'm leaning toward the balanced Sebestor with 8 in everything xept 7 charisma. I checked through EveHQ, and It seems like when it comes to training times I don't gain much by raising my percep to 9 since the difference in time will be 1-2 days at most. Therefore, before I make my decision I need to know just how important will charisma be for someone doing lots of missions and fighting.

Attributes have 0 influence besides training time, so having more charisma doesn't give better results by itself.
Charisma is used by social skills which do influence mission rewards, but overall it is most "efficient" to have an as low as charisma as possible. ---
