Ya...like totally!
We had over 100 in P3 last night defending the system. You had 16...errr...'attacking', I guess, and all the while accusing us in local of exploiting game mechanics by having a few loot cans (spoils from TI wrecks hoarded that evening I might add) around the gate!!
Saying that though, you've pretty much mastered the art of long range sniping, perhaps something HYDRA could/should learn from.
Either way, you've made this game far more interesting for me recently and I doubt I'm alone so thanks for bringing it and GF
Funny.
Hydra have never on its own had over 100 people in P3 defending. And btw, I wouldnt brag to much about having 100 people in local, when you are fighting 16 people... That just shows everybody that all you can do is blob...
Quote: (spoils from TI wrecks hoarded that evening I might add) around the gate!!
I wouldnt say hoarded... And thoose cans got dropped after Pure came into system, on the IPAY gate. And as far as i know we didnt loose anything the few engagements we had on the IPAY gate.
So in other words, you drop of loot in a cargo container that is easily popped by one single shot and call them loot containers...

FLA did not die because corps left or because of it's leadership. It died because it's allies failed to recognise it's contribution, hence the members of FLA were approached with an offer from Terra Incognita and well the rest is history I guess.
Many things surround corps leaving, people falling out with each other etc. The truth can be misinterpreted and construed in such a manner as that the truth in it's original form fails to exist when passed on. This can also happen when the entire story is not known on a matter, resulting in the same problem.
FLA never changed from when it was first founded. We were always the good guys with a strict set of rules on how we behaved and acted towards the rest of the EVE community, our friends and enemies. Yes mistakes were made, yes there are exceptions to that but, like I said, knowing both sides helps in finding the truth.
If you have questions, feel free to convo me and I'll be happy to answer them.

you lost around 20-30 capital pilots, maybe more, pretty much all because of the new leadership, not to mention all those corps were at or were close to the top of the killboards and were among the most active.. I'd offer this may have helped with the defense of Deklein no?

What use is a cap ship pilot without a ship? 20-30 Cap ship pilots with ships would have kicked butt I'm certain but only if they would have had the ships fully fitted and ready to fight. If I remember correctly, only a few people used their cap ships in defence of Deklein, Bobby was one of them.
Anyway, the past is the past. Mistakes were made by a lot of people (myself included) and I hope they have been learnt from.

The FLA that was is long gone. This and that blah blah blah if this that "If grandma had a *****, she'd be grandpa".
From a grunts eye perspective on the Di-Tron vs FLA love affair:
1. Di-Tron joins FLA
2. Di-Tron does what it does and goes full in on the alliance. Feathers are ruffled as we question the powerbase, and contribute greatly to the betterment of the Alliance. Leaders balk at what we offer and how we perform. (See job insecurity, corruption etc).
4. Cloudring Fiasco. Daedal overestimates FLA's power and agrees to do something that never should have been undertaken. Votes go up, Rev is new leader. An order goes out to Silence Bobby Atlas from speaking on the FLA forums as he points out stupid plans and leans hard on teh leadership to do whats right.
3. MC attacks, an order is given to remove all assets from 0.0 and prepare for an "empire rebuild". Di-Tron as a whole rejects the leaderships rediculous order and digs in for the long haul. Alliance Pilots rejoice and the bamboo sticks come out.
Not sure when the ultimatum came up to kick Bobby out... But yeah our answer was unified: "Bye". I am sure I left alot out. Corps thievery, backstabbery, Powerhoarding etc...
Good riddance I say.

Forgot the part where 3 major PVP corps left because of the new President Duck after the "election" The carebars got the carebear idiot figurehead they wanted. Im suprissed you Di-Tron guys stayed and fought as long as you did under those "leaders". Glad you guys stuck together, I know several tight and great groups stayed to long in the drama mill and lost the joy. FLA has been dead since the Duck came into play, the announcement is late. Now I can call my friends that were in FLA, they've been looking to pod Rev Duck for some time but were still blue, now they will be happy.

He lead gangs everynight, got us ganks, commanded fleets, ran the pos's and organized the defence but he gets no credit. The deathnail of FLA was driven home with the decision to remove him from the alliance.
You are also forgeting the countless others that put their heart and soul out for the alliance. Pilots such as Goca, Con, weeble, other mickey and so many others that contributed to the survival. You are also leaving out IRON who up till the MC invasion was there for us at every turn untill the point when they could not fight anylonger. My old corp ARBL that put up half the active FLA cap fleet with our 2 chimeras. Also we had maybe 10 active members at any given time and was still in the top 3-10 for kills. God damn it i miss those days so much.
I agree, Bobby Atlas was a major driving force in keeping the wolves at bay as long as possible. He put his heart and soul into the defense of Deklein. I miss the people I flew with, I don't miss those days. It was amazing while it lasted. I had lots of fun, lost a ton of isk, met some great people and earned more than my fair share of QWERTY tatoos ganged up 16+ hours at a shot.
Speaking of which, I dug up an old hastily frapsed compilation I put to music. The video is garbage, I'm horrible at editing and it was my first week with Fraps. Anyway, I send it out to all my former brothers in arms and I hope the future holds good things for you guys. Fly unsafe!

thats true, FLA as was is dead. carebears have been removed.
Maybe had that happened long before FLA's small, but dedicated PvP force was cast down into CR with no backing from leadership, then ostrasizing and ousting said forces when they complained, we would not now be reading this announcement.
FLA was my first alliance and I will always remember the good times had fighting with the 5% in the alliance that actually cared about something more than their own wallets.
Sad to see it go, but will agree with Goca and Bobby - long since dead. :(

WIN!!
The best thing about that conflict was ESA smacking us "we killed 5 or your ships lol you suck" with our simple reply " yeah but you just lost 100mill in fighters and i actualy made 1mill isk when my thorax popped loool"
Seriously anyone with fraps from that campaign needs to make a video. A lot of people would enjoy it.

Thanks TI for teaching Hydra how to fight. As I already said. We might be noobs. We might be slow. We are even stupid sometimes. But it can only get better and with you teaching us and help us clear out dead weight along with our friends showing the right way we will learn.
cya on the battlefield
--- Not looking to keep space. Not even looking to win battles. Just trying to learn from the best (enemies and friends alike) and then returning the favor.
What can one lose? A bit of virtual space and some virtual isk in exchange for fun, friends and experience It's a win win situation no matter how you look at it.

I'll give you Tri guys one thing, you fought well and you fought hard, excellent FC's and excellent pilots, no question. I didn't always like some of your people, but overall awesome experience.
The big fight in 3jn always comes to mind, we hadn't been in FLA very long, but man what a night, dreads, carriers, snipers, you name it, took the ol' carebears quite some time to get the defense working well..
