You're only helping them by advertising the link on the forums...

Those programs are hoaxes, just look at the decription. Some of the features thye claim would be impossible to do reliably and bug-free in an MMO world like Eve's.
I've seen a number of ebay ads with programs like these, even photoshopped screenshots of apparant 'setting menus' and i cant help but feel that when these programs require you to insert your username and password, they will mail it to whoever wrote the shell and he will subsequently run away laughing with your account.

The domain is registered by DomainsByProxy.com, so you cant discover the original registrant of the domain directly. I am pretty sure CCP could sue in the US for trademark infringement (plenty of ads on the site that use the EVE logo, more than likely without permission), which probably will lead to DomainsByProxy.com revealing the operator of the site (using their service to evade trademark infringement claims is explicitely stated as being against their EULAs by DomainsByProxy.com). From there on CCP could have all Ebay ads for the macros removed, as well as the Ebay account banned. Any further action would probably depend on the location of the site owner.

Thing is, it needs the goverments to make laws on it. I am not to sure if Ebay would care for any games Eula/ToS.
I personally believe, with the gamming industry now worth billions of pounds/euros/dollers, they should be looking harder at protecting games intergrity.
As it stands their is nothing(i know of) that games can do to stop this, wich is more the pity, we are at a stage now where games need the same protection as the film/gambling industry.
Cheating is bad and playing fair is good, i know this and you guys know this, but what can ccp do or a better thing to say is what can ccp afford to do, ip blocks dont work anymore, so would need the service providers to help out.

Personally, would I be in CCP's shoes, I'd nip this in the bud by providing in-game automation for boring tasks That, or remove boring/tedious/trivial tasks altogether, or at least make them less so.

They should also remove ice belts from all but 0.0 and make the 0.0 much better.

Edited by: Snake Doctor on 11/11/2007 15:14:39 MacroIntel has this one. It's a hoax. 85% hoax anyway. It will steal your password if you try to use it.
*We did not use this with TQ (or at all with the Eve client for that matter... So we don't actually know if it mines or not)

Your advertising a link to an isk sellers site, so that people can buy isk or get their passwords stolen and/or possible pick up key loggers or viruses from a website of ill repute.
Are you really that stupid or are you doing it on purpose?
I mean you or a mod should edit that link, some more curious people might end up checking it out and wondering next week where all the isk in there wallet went too ^^

Oh, they'll snip it out, but they are probably sleeping.
For anyone who buys that- be prepared to get ripped off. We didn't purchase it, it came to an email account I have set up for macrointel (macrointel at g mail dot com), along with their "auto ratter demo" (yeah, another keylogger) and their "Make isk guide" which is actually soooort of insightful if you've never played the game before.

Please do not post links to websites which promote ISK selling or other activities which are against the EVE-Online EULA.
