New build to fix some things listed above and add Faction Warfare upgrades to options for calculating costs. Also, the SVR seems to be down I'm going to work on it the best I can to replace but no ETA right now.
Build 3.1.5832.22991
Bug fixes:
- The radio button on the BP tab now will correctly select the type of copy based on the settings from the manufacturing tab when double clicking an item there.
- Rigs will show as Rig and not Module in Manufacturing tab.
- Columns should no longer show NaN for some price fields in the Manufacturing tab.
- Users should now be able to update the shopping list with assets from more than 1000 locations without crashing the program.
- Tax rates for Outposts should now save and be used in calculations correctly.
- When an industry job hits 0 seconds on the Industry Jobs window, the row should now update to say 'Complete' and not being a negative count down.
- When selecting a system for capital component building, the drop down will no longer have four copies of the system name.
- Copy times should now be correct for using more than one lab line.
- SVR*IPH will now sort correctly in the Manufacturing tab. Note: the value shown is to two decimals and this value may be smaller than that but still non-zero.
- Saving 'All Items' on the Asset window will now save properly and reload when used.
- T3 Ship invention will no longer count the cost of the relic BP twice.
New Stuff
- Users can now update the price of an item on the BP tab by clicking on the box below 'Market Price' label. When this is updated, it is saved for the entire program until updated again.
- FW system bonuses can now be set on the BP tab in Options and selected for items in the Manufacturing tab. On the BP tab, the values are saved for the system and will apply when using that system for calculations. On the manufacturing tab, the values are added to the appropriate facility (Manufacturing, Copying, etc.) in calculations.
- All sorting options have been removed from the following tabs and are now saved with settings based on the column clicked by the user: Blueprints, Update Prices, Manufacturing, Datacores, and Mining. Others will be updated as necessary. Note: all lists in the program are now sortable by clicking on the column to sort.
- The Endurance and various Ice Miners for the Prospect and Endurance have been added to the mining tab. Both the Prospect and Endurance are available for selection for Ice Mining.
- Added Capital Component facility fields to the Manufacturing tab.
- Added FW level fields used for each facility to the Manufacturing tab.
- Industry jobs will update all selected API's on first load automatically now.
General Made improvements to updating the industry facilities that should result in faster update times.

Noob question: when I import all prices from a new location can I be 100% sure all the old prices are overwritten?
Feature request: would it be possible to have something like settings for all the copy/invent/manufacture system and facilities? For instance, if I build cap in one place, T2 in another and T1 in a third one, if I'm not mistaken now I must change all the settings about where I do what and in which facility (POS, station, outpost) both in the Manufacturing List and in the BP tab. Having settings1-2-3 saved and being able to switch among them would help bigtime. |

Having settings1-2-3 saved and being able to switch among them would help bigtime. There are two places I save prices, one is the main items table, which has the price you set. When you import prices, both overwrite what is in the table. I don't save historical prices.
Setting up a profiles for facilities is something I'd like to do but it would take a bit of time to complete.

Whats the up-to-date build right now?
I'm running 3.1.5662.24906.
When checking for updates, i'm told there is a new update available. When trying to download it, IPH throws me an error telling me "Unable to download updates at this time. Please try again later". Can't load patch notes too. Thats been the case for... 2 month or so now.
Uninstalling and reinstalling via latest github install file gives me the same version mentioned above (no change at all, same errors after reinstall).
Any idea? |

Any idea? Try deleting the LatestUpdate.xml file and try again. If not something went haywire ion one of he updates and you probably need to reinstall. Remember to back up you bps if you do.

Tried that, but it didn't work for me.
Uninstalled IPH again, this time double checking and there were files left which i deleted manually (install folder and "appdata" folder).
After a fresh reinstall i now got this:
On start, i get a "There is an Update available" and on clicking "yes" for an update this happens. The cancel button actually doesn't work so i have to kill it via task manager.
When i hit "no" on the initial update question after start i get an exception handed on a silver plate :)
No way right now to get IPH running at all :/
Running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit.

I've been using IPH for a while, and i feel i must be missing something... how do you switch between characters without changing the default character each time? At the bottom left of the program it will always tell you what character is loaded, but the if you want to change to a different character it's 7 mouse clicks, along with one prompt.
This makes constant switching around quite a pain. There must be a better way to switch, surely. Originally i expected the "character loaded" to be clickable, much like the skills and shopping list to the right of it. |

Originally i expected the "character loaded" to be clickable, much like the skills and shopping list to the right of it. Switching is generally easy but I haven't counted the clicks by going to settings, and selecting the set default character. I'll look at maybe adding a menu selection to the bar on the bottom.

Forgive me if this has been mentioned before, I did try and look for it but there are a fair few pages to go through!
I have loaded in my Char, and My Corp. Now I want to use IPH as a Blueprint manager at the moment, so I can see what is missing and purchase them. Now, if I go to Blueprint manager I can see my owned BPO's that are in my main hanger, if I click Scanned Cop BPs all of these show. The issue is when I choose "All Blueprints" and scan down the list, it only highlights my scanned personal BPs and not the Corp ones. Am I missing something? Or do I need to move all my MPs to my main hanger and not Corp hanger?
Thanks! |

I have them in different GSCs but the GSCs are in a corp hangar, in a station's office or in a pos. They are all shown both as personal's and corp's if I tick the "scan personal" or "scan corp", just with a different background. When I scroll down the "all" list I see them correctly but with the beige background as if they were personal. In the asset settings I have everything ticked on "both". All fine for me but technically they should be corp's.
What I'd like to change in the bpo manager window is to be able to use the others functions and tabs of IPH as well while we can scroll the list and check ME/TE and what not, while instead it all goes backgrounded as long as we use the bpo manager. Sometime when I'm looking for something different to build I use another tool aside of IPH or I just login a character to see whcih bpo and bpc I have avaialble, but being able to make it all offline using IPH only would be great. |

I will check this again when I get home, but as far as I can see when going down the "All Blueprints" I only find my Beige personal Blueprint but none of the Corp ones are shown with the Green Background.

How do I get IPH to calculate total copy cost?
What's the best indicator of whether I should build a particular item? I would think IPH*SVR, is that right? How good a measure is it? Can I trust it?
If I limit the list to only things with an SVR value, it's a pretty short list. Why don't more things have an SVR? More to the point, I select all BPs, all BP types, T1 tech, the four main races, and all sizes except XL, and uncheck "include items without an SVR value" and I get a list of about a dozen items, about half of which would be built at a loss. There's only half a dozen things worth building for me? Really? Everything on the manufacturing tab relates in some way to the bp tab. Runs and bps, like on the bp tab, are used mainly in T2 production but runs is the total runs you want to do (e.g. 150 runs of Raven) and bps is the number of bps you want to use to make it. If you use one Raven bp then it will take you longer than if you use 10.
You can un-ignore a bp by going to the bp mananagement window under the edit menu, view the ignored bps, and adjust the bps you want.
IPH automatically calculates the copy cost for all T2 items, when you select it. For T1 you need to manually enter it in the addl cost field.
The best indicator is up to you. SVR is more of a 'can I sell this quickly' indicator (sales to volume you can build per time period) but some would rather sell lower IPH items faster than higher. Some want better profits. SVR*IPH is just an attempt to see a number for a high IPH item that you can sell. There are many variables that you might want to consider for trying to figure out what to sell.
Just to be clear though, IPH does not tell you what to build, it gives you options and information for you to make a decision on what to build. No program is going to tell you what a free market is going to do and what you should buy or sell. If I could do that I wouldn't be messing with this and spending my time on the US stock market. There will always be risk and IPH is a tool to help you minimize your risk, not eliminate it. For example, I was making large ccc rigs based on early versions of IPH and was making good isk. One day I bought all the salvage I could to build a bunch of them. The program said it was still profitable but then the price tanked hard. I lost a lot of isk and didn't know why until I remembered the last patch introduced the Noctis and salvage was cheaper than ever. IPH couldn't have told me that (the next version will have a price trend line added but there is still risk).
Some of the SVR values are blank because EMD (the third party service I use for volume) isn't complete in all cases. In other cases the item simply has no sales for the period selected. If you have one or two days, you will have less data that a larger avg days. I'll be updating this next patch to allow updates using CCP data, which will be the history exactly like you see in game.
For your list, I don't know. It could be your skills, the system you are building in, the types of items, your prices, etc. If you are sticking to T1 to sell in a trade hub, it is likely that you'll have only a few items but there are so many variables to consider that I really can't tell you why, only you can figure that out.
Hope that helps.

I've been reluctant to switch to IPH because it looks intimidating. I've been using www.eve-cost.eu for the past year or so, but it has some bugs and isn't getting support anymore it seems. One feature that it has that I love is the warehouse. Basically, it crunches your market orders via API and keeps track of what you've got on hand and what you paid for it. A great feature if you come across a deal on materials somewhere and want to stockpile them. Any thoughts of putting a similar feature into IPH? |

Ok so today I noticed that IPH uses my manufacturing character skills when calculating the taxes, however I use a dedicated trading alt to do the buy/sell.
The obvious workaround is to override my manufacturing alt character skills and give him the proper trade skills.
One question: If I do this, will IPH stop updating my other non-trade skills forcing me to disable override, update, give trade skills again, save? |
