Is there any hope at all that the Ferox will get the extra turrets in this graphics upgrade? I remember that Tuxford was pushing for this but can't find the link.
All trinity renders of the ferox (or any of the ships) don't have turrets (wont be one of the updated objects?) so can't tell that way.
oh, and the Moa and the Eagle could do with some love as well.

No no, the Ferox should be left to wallow in mediocrity. That way there is no good caldari gunboat in between frigates and the Rokh.

Edited by: Mary Makepeace on 22/11/2007 10:07:48 taken from our forums regarding PvP with a Ferox.
Quote:
Ferox is the best way to ensure you will not be fired upon in a battle. Everyone will ignore it like a piece of used wreck that smells like Brutor feet.
It does kick ass if you think of it, after all we used to run level 3 missions with a passive tanked Ferox. Its quite cool in PVP if you think the atrocious mistakes the hostiles will commit to by seeing it on the field. Its an instant constant relief to everyone, but with careful usage your own gang will laugh at the end, and not during the fight like the enemy. This will ensure a clear victory due to the hostiles being incapacitated by the seer force of their own bursts of laughter which induce an inability to click the appropriate mouse and/or keyboard buttons in any sort of meaningful sequence, hence the totally random, if not erratic, actions during combat. I know what you are thinking. No its not an exploit because it doesnt abuse game mechanics per se. CCP can support their decision of not calling it an exploit, on grounds of societal norms and perceptions of humour, which in turn holds a partial truth since EVE is played globally and there are people in deep Africa that by an anthropological view, are unable to comprehend the spatial structures on screen as having an abstract meaning of being 'spaceships' nevermind their utility in that "space".
We as Ushra Khan are Role players and hence adhere to a certain set of 'in character' rules that provides us with a pleasurable time in a 'make belief ' world. We tend to deny ourselves from the obvious game advantages by using game mechanics to our end if its not 'true' to our role-playing standards. This is the reason why the Ferox is a grey line in its role in any of our gangs or fleets, because it uses a psychological factor that is unsure if it is shared by our virtual avatars.
To conclude,
USE A DRAKE

I'm sorry to steal your point, but this is what I did... kinda. However, I support your cause, ferox should be boosted in some way. But what about the other tier 1 BCs?

@topic The ferox dont need another turret! You just have to know what you are doing when you fit it! An ex corpmate tested a lot of fiitngs ans finally get one that rocks! I got no chance in my Brutix... and yes both characters have nearly the same sp...
And i¦ll hope that the ferox wont get the additional turret slot! Its price will raice and i love to fly that cheap bastard :D (T2 Blaster anyone?)

Yeah, a 10m SP industry char in a Brutix will not stand much chance against a 10m SP combat char in a Ferox
No, seriously. When he beat you, did you try to run away? Some would say that you win if the opponent retreats, but if you don't have some loot to show for it, that's a pretty useless (and unsatisfying) victory. So, did that Ferox have a scrambler, a web and/or a MWD? I'd love to see it tank a Brutix with only two slots and a damage control.

they need to base the moa and ferox more off the Rokh
Feorx 7 turrets Moa 5.... hell why not 6 turrets
enough fitting for a full rack of 200's easy or 250's with a mod. People may even fly those.
