Id say little if any net cafes would have it, however all you need is the ability to install it and a net connection, might be laggy as hell though ;D

Edited by: DarkSim Field on 22/11/2007 06:59:24 You can find eve-english and eve-china at a few net cafes in Shibuya (near the station - ask around) and also near Harajuku station - both in Tokyo. I think you'll find that most little towns have net cafes and if they don't already have eve they'll be happy to put it on the computer for you.
Or you can just install it on your own machine. It wont lag much at all. Heck, I play the game from Beijing and experience no lag. You should be fine.
Look around for a Japanese corp, I remember there used to be atleast two. Their members should know.

Hmm, somehow I see that EVE could fit for Japanise mental of ruthless compotetion and killing each other but on the otherhand, Nintendo has spoiled gamers there and playing a game where you can/will lose your stuff is big "no-no".
Althou I must admit that Japan > rest of world.
If society sells used panties at wending machines in street, it's pure win-win society.
It's great being Amarr isn't it.

Tip : Never go anywhere without a flash-drive with EVE on it
Never know when you might need to fill your EVE craving.

I'm pretty sure Eve doesn't run any checks on your computer for 'forbidden software' like WOW does so you should be safe. Always better to make sure first though so you might want to ask a dev.

Last time I was in Tokyo I searched far and wide and it seems these panty vending machines are little more than myth. I did however find a pron dvd vending machine just out on the street. Japan is an amazing place btw, I thoroughly recommend you all visit.

You think that's bogus claim - about those wending machines?? I can tell you it is not.
Secondly, I see no Japan-bashing in that post, just sarcastic way of writing. It's all in your head.

If you are on Kyushu, not creepy, and can bring beer, you can play on my spare laptop.
Other than that, I'd load the client download onto a thumb drive and load it up in a cafe. If you get grief, hide behind the 'gaijin shield.' If you don't know what that is, you will soon.

It's either Japan fanboism or poorly executed sarcasm. Living here will clear up a lot of misconceptions quick, fast, and in a hurry.

I in noway want to bash Japan because it's my biggest wishlist to visit some day this great nation and actually experience it's culture! A country that rise so quickly after WW2 to dominant country in technology is mind boggling!
Tell me more about this Ganjinn shield.
Btw: Ever read this?

In the net cafes I visited while I was there, most of the PCs reserved for "gaming" (As opposed to smaller private cubicle PCs) usually had an array of MMORPGs usually associated with Eastern audiences.
Supposedly, the Lineage series is the most popular MMO in Japan, followed shortly behind by Final Fantasy XI.
Ok, there's no EvE (Solved with a mem stick or whatnot), but there's no WoW either. Can't be that bad, right?
The net cafe I most commonly went to also offered free non-alcoholic beverages provided you were using a PC. Now that's just win. --------------------
